We designed two duffels for Maurten (@maurten_official) and the athletes they support.

The brief was to create something for the athletes that they can use on race day and in the rest of their lives.

The Athlete Bag holds 30 liters and opens wide at the top. It’s handed out before the big races and sized for the race-day kit: gels, drink mix, warm-up layers, the things you need in the last hour before the start.

The Coach Duffel holds 55 liters and has a compartment that expands for the bulky things. It’s built for training camps and the flights between them.

Both carry over one shoulder. Water-resistant recycled shell, YKK zips, and the same G-hooks we use on our range.

The first ones went out at the Boston Marathon in 2025. Since then they’ve turned up in Berlin, in Valencia, Tokyo and everywhere in between.

The Runner's Wallet carries your phone, cards and keys on a run without a backpack.

Clip it to the included belt and it sits at your hip, vertical or horizontal, whichever way your phone rides better. Slide your hand into the sleeve on the back and you carry it in your hand. Or wear it cross-body for the errands after the run.

On race day, take the wallet off. The belt on its own is a race belt, with a holder for your bib so nothing gets pinned through your shirt and elastic loops along it for gels.

Inside, two card slots are lined so contactless cards can't be read through the fabric. A coin pocket holds the small things. The stretch mesh pocket on the front takes keys or a gel you want to reach without unzipping.

80 grams, 158 with the belt. Half a liter, one YKK zip, nylon and spandex, 2.24 kg CO2e.

The Trail Pack weighs 425 grams and fits a 15-inch laptop. It’s the lightest bag we make that does both.

Wear it to work in the morning and you can still have it on at six, when you take the long way home through the forest. The back panel is mesh instead of foam, so it breathes while you run. The straps are shaped like a vest and pull the bag in tight against you. It doesn’t move when you pick up the pace.

Roll the top down and the bag closes around whatever is in it. A laptop and a jacket some days. The full 14 liters on others.

Two soft flasks go in the front pockets, one on each side. Your water sits on your chest instead of your back. Phone, keys and gels go up there too, and you can get at all of it while you run.

14 liters, 425 grams, 75D recycled nylon at 36 percent recycled, YKK zips, 5.82 kg CO2e. The lowest footprint of any laptop bag we make.

Most days your bag is the right size. Then there are the days it isn’t.

The Space Bag adds 9 liters to the outside of the pack you already own, so you don’t need a second, bigger bag for the few days that need one. It clips onto the MOLLE loops on most Kilometer products, and the straps cinch from 19 to 75 centimeters, so the load is pulled in tight against your back and it doesn’t swing when you pick up the pace.

What goes in it depends on the day. It sits outside the main compartment, so anything wet, dirty, or awkward travels there instead of against your laptop.

Then it comes off. Unclip it, and the pack is back to the size it was.

Thank you to the big crowd of runners who came out with us this morning.

At 07:30 on the first morning of The Drop (@thedropconf), you met us at Ribersborgs Kallbadhus (@ribersborgskallbadhus), ran 5 km together and went straight from the run into the sauna and the sea.

Thanks as well to The Drop for giving us the whole bathhouse, and to Vsquared, FoodLabs and Omnivore for hosting it with us.

Most of what we design starts from one idea. A backpack should be able to change with your day, so we build our bags and accessories as one system.

The MOLLE loops on the outside of most Kilometer backpacks hold that system together. Accessories clip onto them and come off again, so you carry what the day needs and leave the rest at home.

On an office day you leave the bag as it is, with your laptop inside and nothing on the outside.

For the ride home after dark, add a Reflective String to the loops and the bag catches car headlights.

Some evenings you run home instead. Clip the Waist Pocket Belt onto the loops and buckle it at your waist. The pack is pulled in tight against your back, so it stays put once you pick up the pace, and your phone sits in the pocket at your hip.

For a weekend away, clip on the Space Bag. It adds 9 liters on the outside, so shoes and anything wet travel there instead of next to your clothes.

Then unclip it all and it's the bag you carry to the office again. The accessories fit the other backpacks in the system too, so they stay with you if you change bags.

The Drop has booked out the whole bathhouse for us, so there's a sauna and a dip in the sea after the run. Bring swimwear.

We're hosting it with Vsquared, FoodLabs and Omnivore.
