i’ve been in the dark for a while now. now i finally get to tell you why!! i have something i’m so excited to share with you soon, that i’ve put in many months of love and hard work into.

one year ago, i produced nightshade and it was released everywhere.
a song I wrote a long time ago at 18 y.o. during a lunch break while working at a tiny comic book store in a small town in oregon.

today, i’m in seattle working with an incredible cast and crew to bring it to life. our set advisor worked on euphoria, our director, @kenz.bakker, has been an amazing creative partner throughout this process, and we’re surrounded by so many talented people who have helped make this project possible.

over the past year, i’ve spent countless hours developing the story and visual world of this video. from the screenplay and shot planning to the costumes, symbolism, and overall look and feel, it’s been a labor of love from start to finish. i also made this little teaser myself, with filming help from @emcityvisuals. :)

set against the backdrop of an abandoned military base, nightshade follows the story of a cult leader. the song itself is like a love story told from the pov of a parasite. this story will also be a critique of the entertainment industry. making any connections yet?

i’m incredibly grateful to everyone who has supported me, believed in this project, and volunteered their time and talent to help bring it to life. this wouldn’t exist without you.

thank you. i can’t wait to finally share nightshade with you.

we’re about halfway through casting our actors. if you’re a fan of my music and live in the Pacific Northwest, i’d love for you to apply and be part of the production. we’ll spend a weekend on the oregon coast making something really special together.

we’re also looking for volunteers who want to be involved behind the scenes. if you have experience in makeup and hair, wardrobe, production support, props, PA work, or just want to help out on set, we’d love to have you join us.

if you can’t make it but would still like to support the project, we also have a gofundme to help cover production costs like meals for our cast and crew, transportation, permits, and pa by @kim3rah

We did something really special last weekend.

We brought together an incredible group of creative talent to create next-level cinema, with a storyline as complex and ambitious as a short film, for my close family friend and artist @kim3rah after launching her first successful single across streaming platforms last year.

The visuals and art we created will serve as a launchpad into the artistry an emerging artist truly deserves, and everyone showed up and showed OUT times 10.

A huge thank you to Fort Stevens and Oregon State Parks for granting our permit, @gmsmediapdx for sponsoring a group of young creatives to bring this vision to life, and Liv’s parents for keeping us fed while we somehow attempted to fit this entire vision into two wildly ambitious film days.

To everyone who drove, camped, stood on their feet for hours, got berry juice down their chests, performed take after take, hauled equipment, and made the wardrobe, makeup and production possible: thank you.

And to my in-house PA @aleegiorgi, who I’ve had the pleasure of training through @fashionxt, thank you for helping bring every department together as one unit on this independent production.

Every performance genuinely stunned me. This was an act of pure collaboration in support of an artist whose success we all want to see.

@kim3rah, I’m SO PROUD OF YOU. You led the vision. I got to help make it real, and I’m incredibly honored by the trust and authority you gave me to do it.

Directing Nightshade has officially become my next adventure, and I honestly couldn’t be more excited.

At the end of August, our cast and crew will be spending 2-3 days filming at Fort Stevens to bring this story to life alongside my longtime family friend, @kim3rah.

We’re still looking for:
• Coordination Volunteers
• Wardrobe PA
• Prop/Set PA
• MUAH Artists
•ACTORS
And if you’ve been following this journey, here’s where you can make a real difference.

If 100 people donated just $5, we’d raise $500. That’s a quarter of our fundraising goal and goes directly toward feeding our volunteer crew, permits, transportation, wardrobe, and everything it takes to pull off an independent production like this.

Every single donation gets us one step closer to turning a crazy idea into something we’re incredibly proud of.

Thank you to everyone who’s already donated, shared the campaign, volunteered, or simply cheered us on. We genuinely couldn’t do this without you.

We can’t wait to show you the world of Nightshade. 🌱#productionportland #musicvideo #gofundme #supportlocalartists taken in Fort Stevens State Park, Astoria by @kim3rah
