POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

My favorite part of every FORM is walking around @arcosanti_arizona watching people connect with this place, the land, and one another. The hope of our program is that different ways of participating opens new doors to discovery, and that our shared memories keep us connected long beyond the festival. Through music, art, conversations with strangers, looking at stars, sharing meals, listening and stillness, making things, getting wild on the “dance floor” and even overcoming challenges together, we emerge with a greater feeling of interconnectedness. It’s the perfectly imperfect parts where the magic lives. Thank you @experienceform community. You continue to restore my faith in people, and you make me want to be a better person too. Thank you @zach.tet @mikefeinberg and @alexbhoffman for creating this baby and letting me help raise it, @el_hud/@findcontext for helping make the art and activities program so meaningful this year, @thelibraryofesoterica and @thunderwingstudio for your beautiful intention and vision, @envelopsound for making an unforgettable sound sanctuary in a weird little cave, @david.sikorski for making the hi-fi listening cafe such a cool cozy vibe even through a rainstorm, @phxgeneral for curating the best shop filled with local treasures year over year. And of course endless gratitude goes to @pour_amor_ @mediocrejasper @thenoiseacademy.prdctn @kenzieovenell @twinflameproductions.co @badasskath @esp.pdf @baskinrobyn @gently__used @earthen_em @evansglamourshots @stouttent @soteriaspace, our small but mighty art department who deserve their own post entirely, @shifthappensvolunteers and all who make this ambitious undertaking a safe and supported place where anything is possible. FORM fam forever. by @kim___swift

FORM is a time capsule overflowing with love, inspiration, optimism, empathy, struggle, perseverance, vulnerability, and some kind of literal magic. It’s impossible to describe what we’re all feeling after having just experienced it, but even after a hurricane destroyed the site and forced us to cancel a full day, i’m somehow left with an even greater appreciation for this project, for each other, for every single attendee, performer, staff, volunteer, etc... I feel genuinely inspired and excited about what giant things this small group of people will do with the little piece of magic they took from this. taken in Arcosanti, Arizona by @kim___swift

Category Is… Multisensory Saturday

For this edition, we asked Kim Swift, LAD/W’s Head of Experience, to build a Saturday that engages more than just your eyeballs. A multidisciplinary designer whose work spans participatory installations, festivals, social spaces, furniture and objects, Kim thinks deeply about how people move through a space—and how design can create connection, joy and a sense of belonging.

Naturally, her list is meant to be heard, touched, tasted and moved through: experiences that invite you to participate, play and become part of the work, rather than simply stand back and admire it. Swipe through for Kim’s Multisensory Saturday—and prepare to use every sense you have. by @kim___swift

Seven years ago a portal opened and I found myself at the world famous #casalarissa. Thank you @jrdfrnk for introducing me to this special place and thank you to everyone who participated in this chapter. Especially the ghosts. It’s been marvelous. I am forever grateful for the growth and lessons Larissa taught me, and most importantly for neighbors who became family. I can only hope the perfect new steward is called in and I can disappear into the lore…but of course haunt them a little, just like Lance Klemm and Taylor Negron did for me. ❤️ by @kim___swift

@bquattro gave me the sweetest project, to design and paint a children’s play theater! It was built to break down / fold up in four parts and lives in a box that can be wheeled around where and whenever a performance might happen. The ten of cups painting symbolizes lasting happiness and domestic harmony through family, a perfect representation of the growing community being cultivated by its owners. Play Theater was a small part of a stunning home restoration project that was beautifully captured by @grantlegan and recently published by @archdigest. taken in Couze-et-Saint-Front by @kim___swift

The Tansy House exists somewhere between memory and imagination. Built to accompany Mitski’s “Nothing’s About to Happen to Me” album release and multi-day residency at @theshedny, the installation transforms the gallery into Mitski’s weird and wonderful world, with all the textures of a life fully lived. Visitors are invited to slow down, look closer, and discover hidden messages folded into every nook and cranny. Overgrown brambles, the sounds of cats meowing, dust sparkling in a sunbeam, stacks of books, emotional ghosts…all contained within walls of twisted velvet. Congratulations @mitskileaks, we are all so grateful to you and @secretlycanadian @goodharbormusic for entrusting us with your vision.

this weekend, cookbook club threw its first-ever dinner party with the author of the book actually at the table (casual) featuring @ericwareheim’s steak house. @kim___swift hosted at her insane home.

@studiojake started cookbook club back in september ’22, and since then we’ve had many great meals—but this one? a standout.

this book isn’t just gorgeous photography by @pissinginthepunchbowl as a love letter to the american steakhouse—it serves really good recipes. the kind that make you go back for seconds. and thirds. we truly feasted.

thank you to everyone who cooked, carried, plated, and poured. and to @ericwareheim, for the inspiration and the very good @lasjaraswines wine. 🥩🏠❤️ by @kim___swift
