Exploring California & the PNW🌲🏍️Canon Shooter 📷 Bay Area🌲🌲

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

A trip in 2 images: this was the last trip we took before I diagnosed with a brain tumor. It was the first time my symptoms reared their ugly head, and it only got worse from there. I’m no stranger to motion and travel sickness, but arriving at Joshua Tree, this felt different. Almost immediately I looked for an area to privately throw up. We so wanted to explore but my head was pounding, all I could do is take Tylenol, cover my face, and hope for it to pass. At the time I thought it was just a migraine. Fast forward to 6 months later where debilitating symptoms landed me in the ER, and a few days later I was undergoing an emergency craniotomy after a pear sized tumor was discovered. The whole experience was scary and surreal , but I came out on the other side, largely due to the fact that I had my wife by my side every step of the way, comforting me and advocating for me. This trip will forever be enshrined in my memory as the start of this journey. Image 1: Joshua tree by night, when I was finally able to get up. Image 2, trying to sleep off what I thought was a migraine and turned out to be my body’s first alarm that something was wrong. taken in Joshua Tree National Park by @kimakazii

The dust settles on @dirt.astic 26. To say it was amazing is such an understatement. Being out in the woods with 200 other like minded women who just wanna rip bikes and support each other is such a thing of beauty. The doors that dirt biking continues to open for me will never cease to amaze me. Went with an already bad ass crew and picked up a couple more tough ass ladies on the way. So thankful to call these strong women my friends!! Can’t wait for the next one Dirty Homies! 💯 by @kimakazii
