After all the long hours and hard work, Ryan has graduated! 🎓✨ Even though there isn’t a cap and gown or a commencement for this special summer graduate, I am so grateful for the Troszczynski family who celebrated his achievement with him. The United States Coast Guard 🇺🇸 took Ry to boot camp in New Jersey, to the Pacific Northwest and the Pacific Ocean on cutters, to San Francisco, and lastly to the Great Lakes -specifically Lake Michigan- in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. 🎓2️⃣0️⃣2️⃣5️⃣🎓 Kyle has graduated! Four years of hard work, late nights, a lot of studying, the summer internship and it’s all paid off for him! So proud of Kyle and all he has achieved. Five days went by too fast while visiting Kyle in Georgia. He showed me the Atlanta beltline & Krog Street Tunnel known for its graffiti street art. The Waffle🧇House is a dining experience y’all must try! A highlight for me was Kyle and I eating fried chicken and other southern sides at historic Paschal’s. Established in 1947, MLK was a frequent visitor during his prime activism years and I can’t think of where I would want to have sweet tea for the first time than there. I remember being new to the area in 2003 and one day, waiting for kindergarten to let out at Paloma Elementary, I saw a woman talking to my neighbor Marie and this gal was a firecracker! Her spiky hair, her tan glow, happy spirit… I was like, “who is she?” 😂 And through friends, my family met the Neilson family. Cheryl was PTA prez at the time & getting things done! From bunco nights, pool and bbq’s, pechanga, 10k mud run, and just good conversations - we all had years of memories! I admired her confidence & strength & importance of family. And her attire, no matter what event, was on point! I had always thought to myself-if she can pull that outfit off I’m going to do it too haha. Before Cheryl and Paulie moved to Nashville, we all were together reminiscing of the neighborhood adventures at the Mitchell home in 2023. It was a special night with special friends 🥰 As was the recent night just 6 months ago in June, when all of us attended Mackenna’s wedding. It was the last time we saw Cheryl. Everyone danced, celebrated, gushed over how the kids have grown, and enjoyed being together for the night. I know it was a night meant to be. Cheryl was a firecracker. No one like her.
