RCA visits the Met! 🖼️ Our students studied 75 works of art in CJ Wallace’s class, and seeing those masterpieces in person meant everything! Knowledge deepens our appreciation of the world. Thank you, CJ Wallace, for preparing our students so well! ❤️ by @kimbearden
Remembering that time last Halloween when the wonderful @ronclarkacademy mamas in dressed like me as a surprise at the Heroes & Villains party. Oh, how I love them! ❤️ @houseofaltruismo @houseofisibindi by @kimbearden
From the Met to national news! What a moment for our RCA sixth graders! During their trip to New York City, our students had the opportunity to bring everything they learned about art and history to life at the iconic Metropolitan Museum of Art. And now, their unforgettable moment is capturing hearts around the world! A HUGE shoutout to our incredible visual arts teacher, @carriejowallace, for pouring into our entire sixth grade class, bringing art to life beyond the classroom, and creating a moment these students will NEVER forget! And kudos to King and Camryn for being featured in their first national TV interview. We’re so proud! ❤️💚🖤 by @kimbearden

The Art of Active Listening | Kirk Brown and Kim Bearden 🔗 Click the link in our bio to watch all episodes of The RCA Mix. 🎙️ ——— When opportunity knocks, will your students be ready? They have talent. They have ideas. But can they introduce themselves with confidence, navigate conflict, ask for help, and contribute effectively to a team? These are the skills that open doors, and they can be taught. In this episode of The RCA Mix, Kim Bearden sits down with Kirk Brown, RCA’s chief development and communications officer, to discuss workforce readiness and how educators can prepare students for opportunities beyond the classroom. Soft skills, durable skills, workforce competencies—different names for the same essential abilities. Kim and Kirk may joke about what to call them, but they are serious about the opportunities these skills can create. From the lessons behind the Amazing Shake to practical strategies for schools and families, they explore how to help students build confidence, communicate effectively, navigate relationships, and develop the skills necessary to succeed in the workplace and beyond.
