365 days and counting. Over 1,288 sessions hooked up to a pump. Over 11,886 oz pumped, that’s over 90 gallons. 5 different pumps. Tons of late night and early morning pumps. Countless boxes of coconut water, pump parts, and freezer milk bags. Spilled milk i definitely cried over. And I’d do it all over again to watch my frail preemie baby thrive into the chunky meatball she is now.
The journey isn’t over yet, but as my milk naturally decreases and she finds more interest in table food it will be soon 🥲. I’ll always be grateful to body for overachieving and feeding Kody and other babies whose moms were in need. I’m thankful for my parents and storing thousands of oz in their deep freezer for us and supporting this journey all the way through! Grateful to Jamal for washing pump parts when I couldn’t stand to look at another pump part for the day and buying the newest pumps i decided I wanted to try - it was an obsession for a minute 🤣. #mommylife #breastmilk #breastfeeding by @kimbeau_

Kody Rae is 1 year old 🎈🧁

October 1, 2025 my life changed for the better and now it’s my favorite day of the year forever and ever.

It’s so hard to believe you’ve been here for a full year. The days were long but somehow so short at the same time and now you’re a year old! I remember looking at your little face and those slow blinks the day we brought you home, I was clueless. In shock that you were here (an entire month early), but also nervously excited for everything motherhood was going to bring. I’ve had so much fun with you!

7 months at home with you was the best time I’ve ever spent. The days you napped from sun up to sun down slowly slipped away to the 1 year old you are now. You’re walking, you’re talking (daddy, heyyyyy, & bye bye), you’re taking everything off the shelves, and you’re fussing at us because you can’t open the cabinets anymore (we had to childproof FAST).
You’re inquisitive, you’re clever, you’re smart, you’re determined, you’re bossy, you’re MINE!
Getting to wake up with you every morning has given me a new outlook on life. Daily I wake up excited to see what you’ll do next, what new skill you’ve unlocked. I’m so blessed to be your mommy Kody Rae. So much more I could say but I don’t think there’s enough characters available on Facebook. I love you to the moon and back ♥️.
