Highest Mileage Year EVER…. And it’s not even over yet. 🫪

It’s been a year of BIG goals. Some we missed…a few times.. and others we are still fighting for. It’s incredible when you stop for a second and look back at everything you’ve done to get you to the point you’re at. A lot of runs get lost in the shuffle.

Team Resting Pace Face Understood the Assignment 🏋️‍♀️
•
A day of questionable decisions, teamwork, and photographic evidence that our team name is painfully accurate. 😂

Highlights include: 🏃‍♀️A 1km PR for me (apparently we can run when sufficiently motivated) 💪 A massive Clean PR for @stephcormier82 — cue the screaming and celebrating 😂 An unreasonable number of hilarious photos proving that “Resting Pace Face” is more of a lifestyle than a team name 🔥 Lots of fun, sweat, and just enough suffering to make it memorable

And… we came home with 3rd place on the podium! 🥉

Thanks @crossfit.col for the fun day and an ever bigger thanks to my partner in crime. You made that WAY more fun than it should’ve been 💕

A long time coming, 13 years to be exact. What better place to catch up than in the city that rhymes with fun.

All jokes aside, life gets messy and people drift apart. The past 3 days have been exactly what my heart needed. A much needed hug from an old friend, lots of reminiscing and chatting about our plans for the future.

Happy Heavenly Birthday, Momma. 🤍

I can’t believe this is the fourth birthday we’re celebrating without you. I often find myself wondering where you are and what you’re doing. I’m still trying to fill the massive hole your absence left in my heart, and truthfully, I don’t think that hole will ever be filled. I could really use one of our long chats and a hug that only a mom can give.

I’ve never missed anyone the way I miss you.

But today isn’t about my sadness—it’s about you. Today, we celebrate your life, your love, your laughter, and the incredible woman you were. Even though you aren’t here physically, I know you’re always with me, watching over us and reminding us that love never really leaves.

So today, we’ll celebrate you the way you deserve.

Two things can be true at once. You can be devastated at not reaching a goal, while also being proud of how far you actually went.

While I am still processing, and still feeling all the feels, I am also completely overwhelmed with the support and kind words I have received. These are just some of the MANY!

I’m still in awe of how @cyn.cynnycyn showed up for me. Making me this amazing reminder, giving me a safe space to feel everything, and truly going above and beyond to keep me going.

They say it takes a village…. And I have certainly grown one hell of a great one 💕

Not the race I hoped for but the race I most definitely earned. I overcame multiple lows, sailed through highs, puked and rallied, caffeine dirt napped, and finished with a personal best in distance. 100km, I’ll get you one day!

I cannot thank @cyn.cynnycyn enough for her support, love, and amazing crewing. I don’t think I would’ve rallied that last time without you.
•
To my pacers @laina.rogers and @thelgraham that I somehow didn’t get a single photo with, thank you! Thank you for the singing and laughing through the dark. The bat counting, saying hello to all the frogs we met, and for deer watching. Thanks for feeding me noodles and listening to my endless sobbing.
•
To all the amazing people who came out to say hi and give a hug. @bettygroff @braggsbaby @jossrunstrails & Lauren. I see you and I appreciate you.

Shout out to @giiwedinanang_kwe for absolutely smashing her race! If you ever need a hero.. just look her way.

I have no words for @sherricallahan28. Girl you are the biggest hype girl anyone could hope for. Thank you for cheering me on loop after loop.

To @stratt_machan for showing up, running a loop with me, and just giving me so much support. Not to mention doing all the trips back and forth to the car. I am so grateful.

@steve.grochot for running with me a few loops, and training me up for this stupid dream goal. Maybe one day we will actually make it.

1,102.8km to be exact.
•
It hasn’t been perfect. There have been missed runs. Tears have been shed. Knee and ankle got cranky. Goal race was DNF’d. Humidity took over.

Yet here we are still trending up with 87% more volume than last year. Another milestone moment celebrated and so much yet to come! 🙌🏼🤩💕

Some would say we had A COL LOTTA FUN out there!

Shout out to best teammates a girl could ask for. Four completly different workouts, one missed strava log, and so many laughs. We all had our strengths and struggles out there but we finished off the day with smiles on our faces!
