On this International Women’s Day, I’m celebrating the strength of women who keep rising, even when life takes unexpected turns.

As a mother of four, and a woman who has rebuilt herself more than once, I’ve learned that our power isn’t in perfection… it’s in perseverance.

To every woman chasing a dream, rebuilding after loss, finding her voice, or stepping into a new chapter, keep going. The world needs the light, wisdom, and courage that only you can bring.

Here’s to strong women, supportive women, and the next generation of confident women we are raising. 💫

Ten years ago, The Haute Mamas became The Haute Life- a place to tell the stories of the people, places, and businesses that made New England a little more interesting, stylish, delicious, and inspired.

At the heart of it was a simple philosophy: life is short. Live it passionately. Love what you do.

To celebrate our 10-year anniversary, we’re going into the archives and sharing one of our favorite videos from 2016, featuring some of Boston’s best bartenders doing what they do best. A decade later, you’ll definitely recognize a few of the faces, and more than a few of the places.

To everyone who took part in this video, and everyone who allowed us to tell their story over the years: thank you for being part of The Haute Life. ❤️

And ten years later, we still believe it:

Fashion colors our life.
Food warms our soul.
Love makes life worth living.

In loving memory of Tenzin Samdo.

“Oh the places you’ll go! There is fun to be done! There are points to be scored. There are games to be won. And the magical things you can do with that ball will make you the winning-est winner of all.”

Back in 2015, I was lucky enough to be spotted on Instagram by JCPenney. They were casting 5 real women for their Spring Muse campaign… and somehow, I was one of them.

At the time we were called “bloggers”… now we’d be called “influencers.” Funny how that evolved.

We were flown to NYC and shot at Milk Studios with photographer Tom Corbett, a moment I’ll never forget.

Fast forward to today…
Not as a “muse”… just as a mom, a woman, evolving in a new season of life.

And honestly? I still love walking into JCPenney, and today I stumbled across the clearance rack, finding pieces that make me feel good.

Because let’s be real, our bodies change. Mine sure has from being stuck in survival mode for so long, my thyroid, hormonal changes from menopause…🙄.. that fitting room more times than not can mess with your confidence.

But here’s what I’ve learned…
It’s not about the size on the tag.
It’s about how you feel when you put it on.

So try the piece.
Try another.
And another.

Until something says… “pick me.”
and it will!

Real women. Real style. Always a Muse. 💫
