August 28th is always special to me, but this year hits different. Turning 53 on 8/28 has me reflecting deeply on Romans 8:28: “...in all things God works for the good of those who love him.”Looking back, “all things” included some of the hardest challenges and deepest struggles of my life. It wasn’t always easy, and it certainly wasn’t always comfortable.But looking at where I stand today, I see the truth of that promise. The trials didn’t break me; they shaped me. I’m still standing, still growing, and still blessed.Thank you, Lord, for 53 years of life, protection, and unconditional love. Thirty-seven days until I turn 53, and one of the greatest lessons I’ve learned is this:

The circle gets smaller, but the conversations get deeper.

I’ve stopped measuring friendships by the number of people around me and started valuing the ones who truly show up. The relationships that remain are built on trust, honesty, laughter, grace, and the freedom to be fully yourself.

At this stage of life, I don’t need a crowd—I appreciate a few genuine souls who celebrate my wins, challenge me to grow, and walk beside me through every season.

As 53 approaches, I’m grateful for depth over distance, quality over quantity, and meaningful connections over casual acquaintances.

Here’s to getting older, growing wiser, and cherishing the people who make life richer—one authentic conversation at a time. ❤️

Day 40 to 53 years old... and I’m still making memories and finding new places to love. ❤️
Today I took a ride to Lincolnton, GA, and checked out Soap Creek Social—and it did not disappoint!
The atmosphere was absolutely beautiful, with gorgeous lake views and both indoor and outdoor seating. It was the perfect spot to relax, enjoy the scenery, and have a great meal.
The food? Absolutely delicious! 😋 Every bite was worth it, and y’all... that Lemon Drop was on point! 🍋🍸
I’ve included pictures of the menu and everything we ordered so you can see for yourselves.
If you’re looking for a little day trip with good food, great drinks, and a beautiful setting, the ride is definitely worth it! 🚗🌊

Counting Down to 53: My 40 Days of Me! 🎂✨

Family and Friends, today marks exactly 40 days until I turn 53 years old on August 28th!

Instead of waiting for the big day, I have decided to spend every single day between now and my birthday celebrating myself.

For the next 40 days, I am focusing on being intentional, practicing self-care, and putting my own happiness first.

I’m sharing this because I want to bring you all along on this journey of joy and reflection. You might see me trying new things, taking extra time for myself, or just sharing daily moments of gratitude.
