Bali Earth Magik 💚🌸✨

Equinox Crystal Sound Journey ☀️

I recorded this sound journey on September 22 2020 from Moon Beach for @amsterdamdanceevent online portal with @phrank. Due to the world stopping, ADE was cancelled that year and this was a beautiful online offering!

As we move into Autumn equinox ☯️ - this year in the early hours of September 23 - I am reflecting on the harvest of gratitude. And one thing I feel so grateful for is Crystal singing bowls and the journey I am on with them. There is nothing i love more than sharing the magic of crystal sounds. I’ve worked “in sound” since I was a teenager and crystal singing bowls found me in Guatemala in 2017, when I was deep in trauma and I really need to tune into a new sound frequency. The deeper I’ve journeyed with sound; now working with the drum, gong, chimes and my voice, the more beautiful it is! And as I tune my vessel I am able to really be in this magic channel and things around me shift and move with the crystals. The way I play the bowls is like I am having a conversation with them and to listen. The songs are from the Yogic tradition, which was my first entry point, the Red Road and Medicine path and more recently I share a lot of my own. This was recorded six years ago and it’s not perfect, yet somehow is. Which is always what the sound journey is about - it’s never perfect but it reflects and works with what’s happening at that moment.

I remember this day so well and how the Sun set perfectly behind and the sounds of the sea. My fairy sister @cicicava was there also and the fairies were for sure with us. 🧚🏻‍♀️

As we move to the inward seasons, I am very happy to be back sharing regular online yoga and meditation practices, direct from the magic rock, Es Vedra 💚

As the seasons move and our light moves from outward action to inward exploration ~ and as the world becomes increasingly chaotic on the external ~ it’s more important than ever to take care of our inner worlds and connect to our inner compass to navigate these changing times.

Yoga and Meditation are two tools that help me immensely to keep attuned and keep a clear body and mind ~ and I am very happy to be back sharing online! I have a what’s app yoga community / group and share super easily via zoom, and you can connect from anywhere in the world.

I’m currently updating the Cosmic 🍍 website and feeling into the next steps for Cosmic. Looking back at lots of photos, I sometimes forget how many things have been achieved with cosmic in the last 10 years!

The cosmic events began 10 years ago at Pikes. My intention was to hold events that were musically led but also had healing, creativity, workshops and more to inspire people. I worked in and lived dance music since I was 18 and even though I loved the music, I knew how people could get lost in it, if not grounded.

The curation has always been based around the Carl Jung quote: “the meeting of two personalities is like the meeting of two chemical substances, if there is any reaction, both are transformed.”

As I look back at what has happened the last ten years I realise so much of what I share is about connection. The ethos of Cosmic 🍍 is connection to the self, the other and planet Earth. I grew up very disconnected to myself and it wasn’t until I started to travel and learn from different cultures and mystery schools, that I started to connect back to myself and I really wanted to share what I had learnt with others, so they could become more connected. This is what has always driven me.

The world is in such chaos and I know this is an ugly death and also a birth, we are entering the Aquarian age, as each individual wakes up and realises we are all connected. My understanding of the Aquarian age is we rise together and the unity field. For this there needs to be deep connection and understanding of the self and respect of all beings. As the world gets more and more ugly in some respects, I do feel we need to find our people and make more beauty. And more than ever connect back to nature and understand nature as we learn to understand ourselves.

Technology is great but we can’t eat it, we can’t drink it, we can’t breathe it & it doesn’t give us peace. Nature does that. As does beautiful connections with people we love dearly. 💚💚💚

Almost one moon cycle ago, for the Solar eclipse, Cosmic adventured to Iceland for the @icelandeclipse festival in Snaefellsnes, to curate the Cosmic Connection space, and most especially, the sacred 🔥.

Iceland tests you - the weather, the land, the eclipse itself. Winds blew through the site two days before we opened, and after an overnight evacuation for everyone’s safety, I went into a local café and told the Icelandic woman what had happened. She simply said, “Ah yes, a little summer breeze.”

Bringing messages in the wind and clearing the energy for the magic to begin…

Snaefellsnes Peninsula is a remote location on a remote island. It’s the setting of Jules Verne’s ‘Journey to the Centre of the Earth’ and, as with pretty much everywhere in Icelandic nature, it reminds you of the Hobbit - with purebred Icelandic horses grazing in the fields and Kria nesting close by. 🪺

Held next to a small and creative fishing town, Hellissandur, with beautiful street art decorating the houses, Iceland Eclipse felt like an epic adventure into chaos and the elements.

It felt very important to honour the Icelandic myth and culture around the fire. To decorate the fire space we hung fishing nets acquired from @saltport.is over shipping containers. Dragon heads by @seidurinn_sudri held the fire atop whale bones to honour the whales (check the work of @johannamaggy), lava stones protected it, flags painted with Icelandic guardians by @heimlogi and elf doors welcomed the hidden people (and of course we had Vikings).

As we invited different cultures and tribes to this land and this fire, we especially remember and honour the spirits and culture of this land itself.

The fire was full of love. A place where people could find warmth, rest from the high energy and come to a place of grounding and reverence. Honouring the old ways, the simplicity of life.

We danced with the intensity of the elements. We sang and prayed whilst people danced to electronic music in the tent next door. Working side by side.

Memories from something very special. In July we adventured to @spirithorse_uk in Wales for a gathering I always dreamed of when starting cosmic🍍 events, ten years ago.

Deep in the heart of Wales, we were held so beautifully in the ancient valley, drinking clean spring water, bathing in the river, eating community meals and sleeping close to the earth. Children and animals played freely along the river, following its curves and finding crystals and stones in the river bed. We shared workshops in buildings designed with nature and her season’s in mind, every morning we practiced yoga and every night we lit the fire in the Bronze Age round house, and danced to the fire, finishing no later than midnight. It felt ancient and so needed to connect and ground on this deep level. There was no signal and the land is powered by solar and hydropower. As soon as I arrived to this land everything seemed to make sense.

The ethos of cosmic is connection to the self, the other and planet earth. And this weave felt so perfect for what is truly at the heart of cosmic. A beautiful community of real and wild souls connecting, sharing, exploring and feeling safe enough to fully be themselves. It was a highly creative time and a memory I will cherish forever.

A huge thank you to everyone who trusted this vision - especially Shivam and his tribe as this very much felt like a weave that was in the magic flow. And a huge thank you to all of the facilitators who shared their magical gifts. A huge love to the spirit of Santanna who played the first DJ set of the gathering and has since travelled to the stars.

We are in a really crazy time on earth and the unveiling and unraveling. More than ever we need to connect with like minded souls and take care of each other and with a strong vision and focus and work for the future. What we experienced at spirit horse should be normal, children should always be free in nature and nature should be wild and free. We are not separate from nature and I have full respect to stewards of lands with the intention to plant & grow.

It suddenly dawned on me last night that this year is 20 years since the Villa of Joy! And what will always be the most crazy summer of my life! I worked the PR (I used to say PR stood for Professional Raver) for We Love… at Space, which was vibing on the highest level and a crew of us lived in a villa on Cala Jondal and used to base our weeks on Sundays at Space and then after a little fancy dress after party, straight to DC10 for some of us ! (Religiously always me and Bones for “Booth and Bones” day). @clivehenryofficial was the boss of the terrace and Luciano was rising big time at that moment. This summer was so so wild and fun and free and full of laughter ! I was given the nickname terremoto by the bouncers in Space because I was so wild (it means earthquake). I met so many new friends and it was a point in dance music where it was just vibing. It was still underground and the music was so exciting and the characters you met on the dancefloor so unique, REAL, wild and free. We used to have the best fun at our home - the Villa of Joy - so much so that Ewan Pearson made a mix inspired by many Monday mornings there after Space - “Breakfast at the villa of Joy”. @rchinn was working for @resident_advisor at the time and heard it and asked to make it a podcast and it then came to be voted the best mix of 2006! These pics are a mix of a few years as I can’t remember which was which, but 2006 - 2008 was absolutely golden for me in that time. I was so excited and inspired by dance music all the time and I just loved to have fun with good people! I was the first year in to my then music and events PR company Rebel Butterfly also (which has since transformed into my Yoga and Sound Healing work🦋). What a crazy adventure in Iceland for the eclipse festival! Some behind the scenes capturing amidst the chaos.
Thank you to everyone who joined the ride! And the amazing Icelandic team who welcomed everyone to their land ! Chaos creates change and this eclipse surely gave some Leo magic fire energy. The sacred fire was a pure blessing of connection, transmutation and love. It all comes back to the elements and Iceland is a land of pure power. It was also a full circle moment for me as I first came to Iceland when I was 19 and working with GusGus, I had a moment watching them closing the main stage on the last day after a week of intense work and energy! Grateful to the locals who opened up their land, the elders who travelled so far to share some completely cosmic wisdom and energy, healers, earth walkers, medicine people, space holders, musicians, helpers, volunteers, friends, all the people behind the scenes and the teams that put this festival on. Spider medicine was very strong as we weaved this creation of a melting pot of so many energies. Dragons, elves, whales, horses, fishing nets, Viking ancestors and all the magical beings. My intention was to really represent the beautiful, intense and strong spirit of Iceland, and this we did! Bringing an authentic 🔥 heart to the festival, we did good work! 💚

Cosmic Campout ONE done ! I don’t usually say this but I am so fucking proud of what we just did !!! It was like all my worlds came together for these five days in the valley ! From my bestie Tracy, who is like my older sister, and held me the day I was born, to the rave, to my travels and learnings in many different lands, to my teachings of yoga, the moon dance, Vision quest and shamanism, to my many different creative magical friends! And to nature itself which is so grounding, healing, magical! The land at @spirithorse_uk is very special, with deep ancestral prayers woven throughout. Drinking clear spring water, bathing in waterfalls, walking amongst ancient trees, eating community meals, sharing, laughing, crying, dancing, creating, learning, growing together in community - is something so nourishing for the soul. And the deeper I get on the pathless path I know THE most important thing is a kind heart and to be real and authentic, and everyone there just shone! I loved the children being free playing by the river - and dancing around the fire in the ancient Bronze Age inspired round house to disco, house, techno and funk. To listening to the flute and sharing ceremony. We had 80 hearts connecting of all ages, shapes and sizes! (And 8 dogs!). And one thing I love about these gatherings is you never even think about your phone (except for me sorting things)! What a magic adventure and I can’t wait until next year! This felt the start of something so special. Grateful to everyone who made the magic and for trusting my Aquarian brain on this Aquarian full moon. Bowing down always to the force of nature 💚💚💚💚
