Libra season and birthday dinners with the best flirts. Spending time in DC celebrating my friends had me thinking about friendship, the kind of love that shows up, and how my friends are, in fact, coming to save me. “I couldn’t help but wonder”…when did our friendships become some of the greatest love stories of our lives? Lunch Breakie🍵 Rich in spirit because I’ve been lucky enough to experience the world with my people.

As Black women, sometimes travel can feel like a math problem. Friends get married, have kids, careers get demanding, money gets tight, and suddenly finding people who can actually go becomes its own adventure.

So I don’t take it lightly when I get to see a new city, eat somewhere beautiful, wander through a museum, study the architecture, laugh until we’re crying, and call it market research with people I love.

These are the little moments that have been filling the pages of my next project: a travel + art coffee table book about the places, people, tastes, and stories that have shaped how I see the world.
