Raising kids who know their voices matter. 💪🇺🇸

Teaching them how democracy works before they’re old enough to vote. Showing them the power of the people and inviting them to participate.
Cobb County hosted what’s-his-name at a corruption-filled school board meeting (political rally) today. It was gross and enraging and we won’t tolerate this behavior in Georgia. by @kimetzel84

I am taking a break from social media. Indefinitely.
My mental health has taken a beating recently, so I must cut ties and take care of myself.
Jan 27, 2025

Just a few words of advice to anyone still reading:
(1) Be careful how much media you consume. The major news outlets DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOU and are not interested in keeping you informed. They only care about money, and they are going to stir up drama in order to get clicks and views.
(2) Remember he is trying to make you angry. The shock factor is his favorite strategy. This man and his cronies are HOPING to get you so worked up and frothy that you burn out. Be patient. Save your energy. We will organize and be ready to fight when the time comes.
(3) Do not engage in pointless arguments. I have not met a single person who is interested in changing their mind. I have WASTED MY BREATH trying to convince people to see my point of view and I have never succeeded. Focus on what you can change and let the rest go.
(4) Stay hopeful. Change takes time. This part of history is not going to be pleasant or easy. But I am convinced that time marches on. Someday students are going to sit in class and this will be one chapter of the story. “The moral arc of the universe bends towards justice.”

Sending hugs to you!
