Perimenopause is a medical event. We make a lot of jokes about all of its symptoms … from hot flashes to brain fog to to body aches to mood swings, but what is happening to us is no joke.

If I’ve dropped into your feed and you’re not feeling like yourself, give this reel a listen. It will give you some science and some next steps.

And if you’d like a bit of help as you navigate this path, download my free Midlife Reset Kit. (Link in bio).

It will help you get your arms around who you’re becoming as you navigate this transition. You’re going to be okay.

My hubby and I took a little trip last week. We’ve both been working really hard on our businesses, so we decided to carve out a bit of time in our schedules for each other.

Science says sharing new experiences together is actually great for your relationship. Experiencing new things together flood your brains with dopamine, the feel good chemical and creates new shared memories.

We like roadtrips because we can include our pup Django. For this trip we visited Orcas Island and Whidbey Island in Washington State.

We loved our cozy rooms at @outlookinn_orcas on Orcas and @innatlangley on Whidbey. Both dog friendly with extraordinary water views, delicious restaurants on site, and picturesque villages to wander through.

I thought I’d share a few pics. Feeling grateful and beaming cozy vibes your way.🧡

GenX women are rewriting the rules of midlife.

✔️We’re setting boundaries and speaking up for ourselves.

✔️ We refuse to stay silent about menopause. We’re sharing our stories, educating ourselves, and advocating for ourselves.

✔️ We’re leaving the corporate workforce in droves, but we’re also the fastest growing segment of entrepreneurs. Some stats suggest 69% of all female owned businesses are owned by a GenX woman.

✔️We’re traveling with our friends. In fact, we’re doing it so much that companies are being started that focus exclusively on girls trips.

I’m so proud of us!!!

Leave it to the last feral generation to change what being a middle aged woman looks like.

🤩

What are you excited about in midlife? What’s your new project, or company, or hobby? Tell me about it. I’d love to support you.

My new passion is my private community for midlife women called NextAct. We’re defining our next chapters together while we make new friends.

And if you’re not sure what you want your next chapter to look like, that’s okay. Grab my free Midlife Reset Kit. It will help you figure it out.

Midlife hasn’t ended GenX women. It has emboldened us. We’re not surrendering to crisis. We’re turning this chapter into a comeback, and making menopause look good.

But before most of us get to the glow up part, we have to navigate a gutter experience or two.

That’s where you have to reckon with the life you’ve created to see which parts get to come forward with you.

Whether you’re feeling mad or meh, the questions in this carousel can help you assess where you’re at and give you clarity for your own path forward.

I hope they help you! For a free video where I walk you through the questions live, download my Midlife Reset Kit. The link is in my bio.

You can figure anything out. Get started today. Your glow up is waiting. 😉🫶
