A lovely weekend for a Feu! We couldn’t have asked for better weather this past weekend for Beaulah-Lou’s first firing of ‘25. Thanks to a great crew we had more than enough pots ( phew!) and a great 27 hour firing. A great way to spend a birthday! Can’t wait for tomorrow when we unload! #beaulahlou #woodfired #woodandsoda #happy #sodalicious #teamwork #stokersgonnastoke #makers #canadianpotters #lovelyday #25 #tuckersclay #birthday by @kimharcourt

Beaulah-Lou is well loaded and ready to go! We had lots of pots and forms to load in yesterday which is Crucial! Always great to have a full load and a great crew… we light her up today and hoping to go 30 hours. #beaulahlou #fyah #crucial #makersgonnamake #stokersgonnastoke #woodfired #woodandsoda #canadianpotters #stokers by @kimharcourt

A few more pics from the long weekend firing of Viola #49.
Switched up the Soda routine a bit by making little newspaper burritos to put in on the rail… and for the hoomans we had great food as always! So nice to share food and fun and fire with @brucecochrane and @heather.dynessmit and Bruce’s neighbour Bob who brought us lovely wild ramps. Can’t wait to see the results later this week! Also a shout out to the lovely @markbajerski for my fun “hand-me-down” shirt and gorgeous pendant. #woodfired #pottery #stokers #fun #makersgonnamake #stokersgonnastoke #canadianclay #teamwork #fyah #selfhealers #elementalmagic by @kimharcourt

So grateful to be firing again this weekend with @brucecochrane and @heather.dynessmit ! We had a great load and started Viola up at noon. I’m (of course) the late night shift… just the kiln and I and a light show courtesy of some stellar lightning and thunder with some impressive downpours. Now for a wee rest while we take turns stoking. #grateful #woodfired #woodandsoda #makersgonnamake #stokersgonnastoke #viola #pottery #guelphpottersmarket #nightshift #fyah #love by @kimharcourt

Went up to Halliburton this weekend to fire with the lovely Lisa Barry. We had wonderful weather and great food along with some laughs while we stoked and greeted customers to the Mother’s Day pop up show. #grateful #woodfired #makersgonnamake #guelphpottersmarket #stokers #stokersgonnastoke #haliburtonhighlands #pottery by @kimharcourt

Say cheese! 😁 Making some cheese with simple ingredients and love. I’m pressing this ball on a glass tray from an old home radiation device aka microwave. I personally don’t believe micros are good but the trays are handy. This fantastic book has many great recipes for ferments, wines and meads, ginger beer and cheese too! I’ve also got a few fruit wines on the go… more on that later. #makersgonnamake #cheese #cheesemaking #learnnewskills #homemade #homemadefood #nowhey #simplerecipes #wildfermentation #sandorelixkatz #nonukesroundhere #healthyeating #yumminess by @kimharcourt

Sorting through some older pieces and some newer “quiet” ones… finding that deciding on discount prices is not an easy task. Pricing has always been a challenge for me… this is similar yet not. 💛 So… I’ll be bringing some baskets and bowls and cups… also a few plates. #dealsandsteals #dweet #makesomeonehappy #makers #holiday #season #gifts #pottery #nothingwrong #oldandintheway #jerry by @kimharcourt
