Thank you all for my 48th birthday wishes! ❤️ Staying grateful for life!
This is something I wrote last year reflecting upon age and numbers.

Halfway to 92

Sitting here halfway to 92, tomorrow I'll be halfway to 94, but what happened to being halfway to 93? Oh yea, I guess that was 6 months ago, silly me.

Noticing the collagen dissipating a bit, some weathering from the storms, yet I am shown that my laugh lines are a bit deeper as well. Deep enough to reach down and truly heal me. Representing moments when I smiled and natural sounds escaped my mouth and or stayed a vibrating giggle in my throat. Laughter being it's own language that all can understand no matter what the tongue was trained to speak.

I love that those wrinkles represent happiness and wholeness. For laughing involves your whole being, body and soul, dancing together for that moment. You feel high, you want more and it lifts you for long after. Truly medicinal.

Halfway to 92, I find myself peaceful, I find myself full of acceptance, forgiveness for those around me and grateful for this new day. Birthdays seem to happen overnight even though it takes a year to get there. Acknowledging the day you were born, recognizing the year that has passed, and anticipating the year to come. Embracing each step taken and blessed to be able to continue.

When I am 92, I will be halfway to 184. Numbers fascinate some and give others anxiety, used to track time, something else man made to classify what is natural and try to maintain order over our normal instincts. Guiding us away from ourselves so we dont know how to be 'human'.
My only prayer is to stay in tune, finding discernment amongst the falsehoods and stay truly aligned with this truth for the rest of my years on this Earth. by @kimk_enney
