this year, i poured many hours and so much love into my knitting — i explored new techniques and construction methods, finished second sleeves (eventually), and even took on my first test knits! 🧶 i can’t wait to see where my needles will take me next year! 🫶

have the arts and crafts gone too far? i spent my memorial day weekend binging a show (required viewing for a friend) while making her this bag with so much love! 🫶

this denim purse features so many pockets & a recessed zipper (with the cutest little zipper pull), an excellent pattern with a super professional finish. definitely worth breaking a few needles 🤭

officially ready for summer bc now i know you can turn thrifted bedsheets into flowy twirly girly skirts!!! 💕💐✨🎀

this skirt features godets, french seams, flat felled seams, a rolled hem that has circumference of over 12 ft!! 100% chance of dancing & twirling!

the fabric — i found this reversible cotton bedsheet for $6 at the thrift store, and it kindly requested to transform into a skirt for its second life.

the pattern — #saundraskirt by @hisydgraham, @hisydgraham makes truly excellent patterns!! i will be making this one again! the godets are so dreamy, no size adjustments needed except for length!

it’s my sewing debut on the craftstagram! ✨🧵

I performed in my 4th @avadanceco showcase a few weeks ago & this year I wanted to incorporate handmade pieces into my costumes! here’s how they turned out & some bts :)

costume 1 — contemporary; prompt: white beige brown flowy pedestrian

• top: I knit this last year! it’s 100% silk with mother of pearl buttons - claire vest by @mochi.knits
• bottom: the one and only lane pants by @hisydgraham my first sewn garment that kicked off my obsession with pants!! these look like linen but are actually cotton

costume 2 — jazz; prompt: leopard print, black, tate mcrae

• top: not handmade and i was betrayed on stage when the strap popped off 😭
• bottom: the jill skirt by @jessilous_closet sewn in cotton canvas from amsterdam! i’m obsessed with this skirt and knew it was the winner as soon as I finished. my first invisible zip :)

other leopard options bc my brain was stuck on leopard for a while, so if anyone wants to do leopard print themed anything, I’m game:

i made a 7 ft long scarf! a socially acceptable way to wear a blanket in the office :)

this took nearly 2 years!! I finally knit through my 4 skeins of mohair and completed my fluffy scarf cast on for the #fluffyscarfkal hosted by @ne_knits & @originally.lovely in early 2024 😂

I’d say this is the most spectacular kitty cape I’ve made yet

claire vest! a lovely silk crop top with mother of pearl buttons perfect for the hottest summer days ⛱️

This pattern truly is perfect for this yarn with its incredible silky drape, definitely a new favorite summer yarn. And perhaps it is still on trend as I saw a nearly identical top at aritzia the other week, I’d take my handmade silk top over this cotton one any day 🤭

I started this one last year with yarn and buttons from my trip to portugal and spain, but I put it down once the weather cooled down. After finishing my deadline knits, I dug this back up, and once I got the hang of tensioning this yarn again, I couldn’t put it down — I finished the body of this in just a week!

sweet shop baby blankie! ✨

finished this gift blankie just in time for the baby’s arrival. here are some photos of my furbaby with the blanket before we shipped it off to the human baby 🐣

this was a lovely knit in the perfect beach ball colors, I finished it off with a crochet edge and a tag I got off etsy 🧵

this beginner friendly pattern features double knit edging and ties for a clean finish. and the bows are just so stinkin’ cute! 💝

I knitted my slipover in a recycled cotton-wool blend for a piece perfect for the spring. I picked up this yarn when on vacation in Lisbon, and while my hands did not enjoy this yarn, I am very pleased with the final fabric. I can’t wait to style this with all the spring dresses and skirts!
