Want better answers from AI? Stop asking it questions. Start giving it a job.

Type the role first, then a colon, then your question. "Marketing consultant: how do I price this." "Tax accountant: should I itemize." Same question, a completely different quality of answer.

The AI you're already using can do this. Most people just never tell it to.

Scammers buy your name and address, ship you something cheap, then post a fake 5 star review under your identity. The FBI says some new versions hide a malware QR code inside the box.

Don't scan it. Photograph the label. Check your accounts. Report it to the carrier and the FTC.

🤯 Imagine turning down a $50 million deal that's now worth $300 billion. Blockbuster did exactly that.

In 2000, Netflix founders Reed Hastings and Marc Randolph reportedly flew to Dallas to meet with Blockbuster CEO John Antioco. They proposed selling Netflix to Blockbuster for $50 million.

Blockbuster passed.

At the time, Netflix was a struggling DVD-by-mail service. Blockbuster had thousands of stores worldwide and dominated the video rental industry. The idea of people streaming movies at home must have seemed like a long shot.

Fast forward to today. Netflix is worth around $300 billion. Blockbuster filed for bankruptcy in 2010. There is exactly one Blockbuster store left on Earth, in Bend, Oregon.

$50 million would have been the greatest deal in entertainment history.

Sometimes the most expensive thing in business is a bad gut feeling. 😬
