POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Sometimes unfortunate events come down like thunderstorms, and the past few weeks have felt exactly like that. Right before Danny went into surgery, I almost lost Bruno to what I just discovered was heart disease, an enlarged heart, and congestive heart failure. The first treatment in the animal ER gave me an extra two weeks with Bruno, which gave me the mental and emotional capacity to take care of my brother’s arrangements.

But yesterday, he had more fluid build up in his lungs to the point where they could only give him a shot of Lasix and oxygen to help relieve his pain. I spent three beautiful but nerve-wracking hours with my Bruno bear before I kissed him for the last time (shown in the first two photos) and held him until his very last moments. He was truly my ride-or-die through some of the hardest moments of the past decade.

I love you, Danny’s “Twinkie.”
Audio is my brother’s unreleased song, “Rain.” 😩😭

I just laid in bed and cried all morning, feeling guilty that I couldn’t do more, and fumbled through all of his photos. I guess making a tribute video is my way of processing until I can step back into reality again, because I’m still in complete shock. taken in Rogers, Arkansas by @kimle.wav

Yesterday, we laid my brother to rest along with our mother’s ashes. Thank you, God, for allowing me to use my acts of service and our shared bond of music to honor Danny. I am so grateful to have collaborated with the church, the worship team, my sister, Heli (keepsake cards), and @bwattsphotography to ensure everything was beautiful. Every intentional detail was placed with love in Danny’s honor. ✨🤍

Dallas, I finally got to really explore the Bishop Arts District! I big backed all over town and stopping in for some incredible fine dining and drinks (Paradiso, Stock & Barrel, The Brass Ram, Maple Leaf Diner, and Nice Coffee Cocktail Bar), picked up a framed print by Tim Doyle from We Are 1976, found a Hoya Heart plant and a pink String of Hearts, snagged some new vinyl, and overall just had the best little 4 day getaway 🥰 by @kimle.wav
