We were never meant to do life alone 🤍

Sometime last year, and even before then, I found myself craving something deeper: community.

Not just church, not just friendships… but that home feeling. The kind of community that goes beyond Sunday services and becomes life itself. And honestly, I prayed and cried to God about it.

And wow… God came through (check my previous reel for some of the deets😅).

But why am I sharing this?
To remind you of something you already know: we all need community.

That safe space.
That no-judgment zone.
That place where you’re loved, but also challenged to grow.

Because the truth is: you cannot and should not do life alone.

There’s something Jackie Hill Perry said that stuck with me: every God-centered relationship is a sanctification process. And it’s so true, whether it’s friendships, church, or even work relationships.

Even the Easter story reminds us of this, God brought us into His family so we can live in fellowship, not isolation.

Yes, there’s a place for solitude, but isolation was never the plan.

So let this be your reminder:
Find your people.
Build your community.

Singleness Is Not a Waiting Room✨

Hey fambam 🤍

I know this month has been filled with conversations about love, marriage, and relationships. But here’s something I’ve been reminded of recently:

Singleness is not a waiting room😅

At the beginning of this year, I prayed that God would help me truly enjoy my life. It’s so easy to become fixated on the “next season” that you forget to embrace the present. Head in the clouds, forgetting to smell the roses.

This past weekend, a message by @ernestexpectations reiterated something powerful: in Christ, we are whole and complete, lacking nothing. And whew, that truth hit home again.

You are not an incomplete half waiting for another half to complete you. You are a whole person. And when two whole people come together, they complement — not complete — each other.

No friend. No partner. No human can be your El Shaddai (because if they try, they shall die 😅). Only God can truly satisfy. Only in Him are we complete.

So you’re not waiting to thrive.
Not waiting to live.
Not waiting to be whole.

You already are — in Christ.

From Ibadan to Athens 🇳🇬➡️🇺🇸

The thought of leaving the country for my master’s was exciting, but the introvert in me quietly wondered how I’d build community so far from everything I knew.

The reality hit two days before my flight. I remember breaking down in tears as my church family said their goodbyes.

I arrived knowing no one, yet God met me with community in the most unexpected ways:

Friends from orientation,

A church that became home,

Even a Linkedin connection who became my first roommate and is now my friend,

Looking back, all I see is providence.

One word God gave me for that season was “I will keep you.”

Was I kept? Yes.

Did it always feel like it? Omo no, grad school will test you😅

But here I am, two years later, telling you this:

Put all your eggs in the basket of a sovereign God-only then is your tomorrow truly secure👑

Thank you to my friends and family for loving me through it all❤️
