Introducing Print East 2026 printmaker Kim Jenkins @kimluckybird “My prints are influenced by European Folk Art and Inuit printmaking. I like the naivety and immediacy of their images. Although the majority of my inspiration is drawn from nature, I also have a range of playful and charming characters based on people met along the way whilst on cycling holidays.” by @kimluckybird

On the Sunday morning, I wanted to share this poignant piece with you. ‘The Most Valuable Meal’, is the exquisite work of the very talented artist and printmaker Kim Jenkins of @kimluckybird , who is supporting Doves for Peace once again this year. ‘The Most Valuable Meal’, a limited edition (1/50) lino print, was inspired by a radio programme Kim had listened to about how people in Ukraine have been making bread from decontaminated fields. They use remote controlled armoured tractors to remove any mines and then they can work the fields again. It’s hard to imagine this being people’s lived experiences. Since the war started in 2022, War Child has been supporting the people of Ukraine. ‘The Most Valuable Meal’ will be auctioned on Wednesday 16th September @fieldingsauctioneers with all funds raised going to support the vital work of War Child UK, helping children living in war torn countries around the world. Thank you so much dear Kim for this very meaningful piece of work. It is an honour to include it in our auction this year. Your support year on year is truly valued ❤️ If you would like to bid on ‘The Most Valuable Meal’ or any of the other beautiful artwork in this year’s Doves for Peace 5 auction, please see the @fieldingsauctioneers website for details of how to register to bid live on auction night. The auction starts at 5pm. Link in bio. Thank you! @kimluckybird #charity #auction #peace #warchild #ukraine by @kimluckybird
