Doves For Peace 5

On the Sunday morning, I wanted to share this poignant piece with you. ‘The Most Valuable Meal’, is the exquisite work of the very talented artist and printmaker Kim Jenkins of @kimluckybird , who is supporting Doves for Peace once again this year.

‘The Most Valuable Meal’, a limited edition (1/50) lino print, was inspired by a radio programme Kim had listened to about how people in Ukraine have been making bread from decontaminated fields. They use remote controlled armoured tractors to remove any mines and then they can work the fields again. It’s hard to imagine this being people’s lived experiences. Since the war started in 2022, War Child has been supporting the people of Ukraine.

‘The Most Valuable Meal’ will be auctioned on Wednesday 16th September @fieldingsauctioneers with all funds raised going to support the vital work of War Child UK, helping children living in war torn countries around the world.
