“My name is Acera, and I am proud to be graduating from Southern New Hampshire University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and dual minors in Marketing and Sports Management. My career goal is to empower athletes to leverage their name, image, and likeness (NIL) to build personal brands and create lasting opportunities beyond sports.
This graduation cap represents more than a degree. “Stood on Business” symbolizes both my field of study and my commitment to accomplishing what I set out to do. Despite life’s challenges, working full-time, and remaining dedicated to graduating without student loan debt, I stayed focused on my goals. This milestone reflects my perseverance, discipline, and determination. I didn’t just major in business; I STOOD ON BUSINESS! This is only the beginning.”

“Hi, I’m Kim! 🎓✨
I recently graduated from my nursing program with both my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Nursing! This was a huge career change for me, and after everything it took to get here, I’m so excited to finally start this new chapter. 🩺🖤
My graduation cap is a little reflection of me and all the things I love, my personality, my interests, and of course, my sense of humor. 😂 The quote on the cap couldn’t have been more fitting because honestly… that’s exactly what completing a master’s degree felt like. 😂🎓
A little piece of me, a lot of memories, and one very hard-earned degree. 🖤”

“Hi, my name is Linda! I graduate with my bachelor’s from CBU this Fall at the age of 27. Although 27 isn’t “old,” everyone expects to receive a bachelor’s degree within four years of graduating from high school. However, I became a mom to a beautiful little girl at the age of 19 and dropped out numerous times trying to survive motherhood, postpartum depression, full-time school, and full-time work. This cap means a lot to me because not only is “Legally Blonde” my favorite movie, but the famous quote “What, like it’s hard?” by Elle Woods is what gave me motivation (aside from my daughter) to continue pursuing my education to give both of us a better life. It was VERY hard actually, but just like Elle Woods, I was determined to finish no matter what. Next fall, I will be pursuing my Master’s degree in School Psychology. All this to say, we should be more like Elle Woods at our lowest moments. Not even Harvard (or Warner) could stop her from being a Lawyer. Motherhood, PPD, and work didn’t stop me from receiving my bachelor’s! What, like it’s hard?”

“Pursuing my Specialist degree in School Psychology has been about more than earning a degree. It has also been a journey of healing my inner child and becoming the person I once needed. “The slipper fits” represents finally finding a career that feels right for me one that allows me to support children, advocate for their needs, and help ensure they feel understood.”

“This cap represents more than a degree. Every sparkle represents a late night, a challenge overcome, a lesson learned, and a moment when I chose to keep going.
I took a different path to get here. I’ve worked hard since I was young, juggled multiple jobs, built a life for myself, and somehow found the time and determination to earn both my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees.
So when I look at this cap, I don’t just see an owl, rhinestones, and a diploma. I see resilience, determination, growth, and a dream that I refused to give up on. This is my story. This is my accomplishment. And this is only the beginning. 💙💚✨”

“This December, I’ll become a first-generation graduate from Kansas State University with a B.S. in Architectural Engineering and minors in Business Administration and Spanish.

My biggest inspiration has been my family, especially my dad and my cousin Rey, who are no longer with us. My cap wouldn’t feel complete without them, because they’ve been my “why” every step of the way. On the hardest days, I kept going for Rey, who never got the chance to cross that stage, because I wanted to reach that milestone for both of us. And I kept going for my dad, because I know how proud he would be of the person I’ve become.

Being first-gen has been one of the greatest challenges and honors of my life. I hope my journey makes the path easier for those after me, especially my cousins, who are already following in my footsteps.

When I cross that stage, I won’t be crossing it alone. I’ll be carrying my dad, Rey, my family, and every sacrifice and late night that brought me here. This degree is mine, but this journey belongs to all of us. 🤍🌻”

“Hello, my name is Wendy Meza. I’m graduating from Carrington College as a medical assistant. This cap was very important to me because as a parent of an immigrant daughter, we are capable of accomplishing anything we want! I’m super thankful for my husband for supporting me through this new chapter in my life and I’m happy that my son has a successful mother!!”

“My name is Megan Parrish and I am graduating from high school on Thursday (June 25th) and will be attending RIT (Rochester Institute of Technology) in the fall for my bachelors in interior design to then go on and get my masters of architecture in their 4+2 program. This cap was super special to me and really emphasizes all the important things in my life. Starting off a sunset which to me symbolizes peace and calmness with the RIT campus just in front of that. The Route 66 sign showing my love for the movie cars and travel as well as Roz and Sulley from Monsters Inc. I lost my grandfather in the summer of 2019 and before he passed he started calling me Roz and I had no idea why but I started calling him Sulley so it pays homage to our love and friendship towards each other.”

“Hi! I’m an Elementary Education major receiving my bachelors degree. My passion for working with children began at a very young age, and it has only grown stronger as I’ve continued on this journey.

This graduation cap means so much to me because it’s dedicated to the two people who made all of this possible—my parents. They have been my constant support system, guiding me every step of the way and shaping me into the person I am today. They were my very first teachers, and this milestone is just as much theirs as it is mine. 🤍“
