Art can take so many incredible and creative forms. This stunning table is a true work of art, created entirely by hand using the intricate technique of straw marquetry. Taking almost a year to complete, every detail has been carefully crafted from natural straw, resulting in a truly unique and extraordinary piece. A beautiful reminder that art isn’t always found on a canvas 💫 @maladydesigns #baysidecommunity #baysidecommunityhub #melbourneartscene #hamptonartlovers #baysidecommunityhub taken in Hampton Street by @kimsspacehampton

Currently at Kim’s Space 403 Hampton St Hampton. You can see other quirky sculpture there too. I have been making sculptures based on human emotion, interaction with animals and daily activities for 30 years when I completed my masters in ceramics at RMIT. These sculptures at Kim’s Space are mid fired ceramics finished with oxides and a white glaze. The colouring is subtle and compliments the quiet human emotion. Love the finish. My thanks to Robert Delve for reigniting in me the joy of drawing to expand my sense of creativity, and inspire me to make more works. #clay #claysculpture #australianart #figuresculpture #australianartist by @kimsspacehampton

🫶🏻 Some moments in the gallery are about so much more than art. Today, we had the privilege of witnessing a truly beautiful and emotional meeting between an artist and a customer who’s work had made a deeply personal impact on her life - a beautiful reminder that behind every artwork is a story, and behind every sale can be a very special connection 🤍 This is why we love what we do at KIMS SPACE. - because art has the extraordinary ability to connect people, evoke memories, tell stories and sometimes touch a place within us that words simply cannot#baysidecommunity #baysidecommunityhub #melbourneartists #hamptonartlovers #baysideart taken in Hampton Street by @kimsspacehampton
