It’s rare to find your people online… and even rarer when you realize the connection is just as real in person. 🖤

Over a decade ago we connected through our shared love of color, education, and this crazy hair industry. I’ve looked up to these ladies for years, considered them mentors from behind the screen, supported their work, learned from them, and watched them continue to push the industry forward.

Earlier this year, we finally got to meet in person in LA for a special workshop with our hair mentor @guy_tang . What started as years of online friendship and supporting each other through this industry somehow turned into real-life friendships and I’m so here for it.

What I love most? They’re exactly who they are online. Genuine, talented, supportive, hilarious, and just as badass in person.

I’m grateful for the friendships this industry has brought me. From online hair besties to people I’m genuinely lucky to call friends. Can’t wait for the next meetup. 🖤 by @kimwasabi

Every section had to be treated according to what was already there while keeping the integrity of the hair in mind.

And THIS was our result.

I’m putting together a tutorial breaking down exactly how I approached this correction, what I did and WHY.

The trick isn’t just the foil placement — it’s control.
Too much product or too much pressure can create bleeding.
The technique works because I’m securing the foil without squeezing the lightener around.

I got a SHULLET!

@38 grams lighter.
