First self portrait collage redrawn onto a larger scale put of 2 for the first submission of one of my drawing classes this semester.

"Fractured Multi-selves" my class was tasked with collaged different photos of our own faces with another humans face, or alternatively, the face of an animal, and of course I chose bats because why wouldn't I?

This piece was done with compressed charcoal, pastel chalks and oil pastels

An autobiography painting I just finished for one of my painting classes, I never really know what to say even when someone asks me to describe myself so this was quite a challenge to initially come up with a concept for, but I like the end result a lot and I’m really proud of my developing rendering skills.

Myself obviously because that’s the main part of an autobiography, my brain is exposed to represent not only my anxiety and ADHD which are things I struggle with, but to also represent my creativity. A ladybug to represent my dog who has passed, Hank, and how he has shaped me as a person and taught me how to deal with grief. A pomegranate to represent the divine femininity, to incorporate how feminism is part of my identity. An eyeball to represent how I am a visual individual. A moon and star to in part also represent Hank, but also just because I really resonate with the moon and I think it’s pretty. A bat, and vampire teeth to incorporate my strong interests in vampires and bats, bats are my favourite animal. A spiral in the background to represent growth and life. And lastly a key, just because it felt like the missing piece to the puzzle, and I like trinkets lol.
