‎Health facilities now need to start educating patients about something called an ELECTRONIC MEDICAL RECORD (EMR), where patients' details, medical history, and complaints are digitally captured and stored. ‎So, when you see a doctor typing while you're speaking, he or she is most likely documenting your complaints and other relevant medical information in the EMR. ‎Instead of writing everything on paper, medical records are now being captured and managed using tablets and computers. ‎📌📌 by @king.abys

Alhamdulillah! We did it! 🎉 On 17th October, we brought TEDxZaria 2026 to life under the theme Tasirin Aiki (The Impact of Action). As a co-organiser, this journey has been more than just planning an event. It has been a lesson in leadership, teamwork, resilience, and what it means to believe in something bigger than yourself. Behind the beautiful moments, the speakers, and the applause were weeks of planning, tough decisions, unexpected challenges, sacrifices, and countless hours of work that many people never got to see. It wasn't always easy, but we kept going because we believed in the vision. TEDxZaria is particularly meaningful because of our commitment to bringing the TEDx experience to people in Hausa, our language. It is about showing that powerful ideas can be communicated in the languages we speak every day, and that our local languages are not barriers to innovation, intellectual exchange, or global relevance. For me, this is part of a bigger picture: making knowledge more accessible, creating opportunities for local voices, and building spaces where people can challenge assumptions, share experiences, and imagine new possibilities. And then there is the impact. Impact is not only what happens on the event day. It is what happens when someone hears an idea and decides to act differently. When a conversation inspires a new initiative. When a young person discovers a possibility they had never considered. When an idea travels beyond the stage and begins to influence a community. We may not immediately see or measure every outcome, but that is the beauty of ideas: sometimes, their greatest impact begins long after the applause has ended. I am deeply grateful to everyone who made TEDxZaria 2026 possible — my fellow organisers, our speakers, volunteers, partners, sponsors, supporters, and everyone who showed up and believed in the vision. Every contribution mattered. Every helping hand made a difference. And every challenge taught us something. As Tasirin Aiki reminds us, meaningful change requires more than good intentions. It requires action. The event is over, but the work of ideas continues. #TEDxZaria #TasirinAiki #HausaTEDx by @king.abys
