The music industry isn’t built by artists alone.

Behind every successful release are the executives making the calls, shaping the strategy, and creating the opportunities that move records from the studio to the world.

This edition of A&R Spotlight features @king_isama a music executive whose work across A&R, distribution, artist development, and release strategy continues to empower independent African artists to grow beyond the music.

His story reflects what A&R truly is: discovering potential, building careers, and helping great records find the audience they deserve.

This is why A&R Spotlight exists—to document the architects behind the music and give them the recognition they’ve earned.

Who should we feature next? Drop their name in the comments.

Faster. Smarter. Limitless A&R.

It was nothing short of legendary having @king_isama on Urban Odyssey.

As a respected music executive and A&R, distribution, and marketing expert, his insight and energy elevated the conversation in a big way during his session.

Grateful for the experience.

+1 🎂🙏🏾
All I can say is thank you God.

It hasn’t been a straight road, but every lesson, every win, every delay, every breakthrough shaped me into the man I am becoming. I’m grateful for growth, for grace, for family, for love and for purpose.

This new phase of my life feels different - clearer, wiser, more intentional.

Here’s to deeper impact, bigger vision, stronger faith, and a heart that never forgets where it all started.

Thank you Jesus for everything .
