When thinking of the first piece I wanted to choreograph, I knew I wanted it to be a culmination of the dance genres I grew up training in at @premieredancetheatre : Ballet, Modern, Jazz, Hip Hop, African, Horton, Graham (we only got 4 min so tap will have to be in another piece 🤭).

When initially hearing this song, I knew the various beat patterns would be perfect for the type of piece I was trying to create & the musicality of this piece was my favorite challenge.

I wanted to tribute this piece to my life-long Ballet teacher, the late Mr. Kyne Franks, who always told me to never stop dancing, and continued to push me towards new potential. Thank you for always inspiring me 🤍🦋🫂

I titled the piece “Le Voyage Du Danseur” because Ballet terminology is French, so it was a nice Easter egg to my Ballet beginnings. The title translates to “A Dancer’s Journey”, for as dancers, we all come from many different backgrounds and are all on our own paths, but dance will always bring us together.

I wanted my dancers to wear skin-toned leotards and shorts to show off their beautiful individuality and the unique textures within their movements. And it was a little insane to squeeze a 30 sec quick change in there but we did it! 🙈🤭😅

Thank you to my amazing dancers for helping me achieve one of my longest goals/dreams of choreographing. I couldn’t have asked for a better cast of talent and I’m so proud of what we were able to create together. I love you all sm 🫂 by @king_jer

Better late than never 😅, but here’s my collection of pics from working as a Talent Wrangler on House of Villains S3 🙈. I’ve worked on a lot of cool things, but this one, from the cast to the crew, was enjoyable all around. Thank you ☺️ and if you haven’t seen it yet, all episodes are out now & streaming on @peacock !! by @king_jer
