I've experienced enough pain to recognize it in somebody else's eyes. I see the weight behind your smile. The sacrifice behind your progress. The silent battles. Thats why I choose to speak life over people.

Speak something good over yourself or someone else today. You've heard enough negativity. by @kingkihei

What if the hood didn’t just raise us… what if it programmed us?

When dysfunction surrounds you long enough, it can start looking like culture.

Can you love the hood and still recognize the patterns that keep the hood hurting? taken in East Side, Kansas City, Missouri by @kingkihei

Standupish on the jacket. Standupish in real life.

Hit up my guy @figga_fatha for the fresh threads.
Be warned, this fabric reserved for a certain cloth 👑

BEFORE YOU PICK UP A GUN, PICK UP THE GLOVES🥊

One decision can change the rest of your life.
That’s why events like Gloves Up Guns Down matter.

Give them something worth fighting FOR.
Give them mentors.
Give them discipline.
Give them community.

Hip-hop has always reflected what happens in our communities. I want my contribution to be bigger than talking about the problems. @Kingkihei ain’t just pulling up when there’s a stage involved. We outside for the COMMUNITY too. 🥊

Who else needs to be part of this movement? Tag them below or share with them. 👇🏾

KC vs STL was never supposed to be about division. We just proved how powerful Missouri can be when we connect.

The KC vs STL Showcase was bigger than a competition. It was proof that we can bring artists, creatives, supporters and communities together without watering down what makes either city special.

Kansas City showed up.
St. Louis showed up.
MISSOURI showed OUT.
History was made.

This was only the first chapter.

If you were in the building, you already know the energy was different.

Stay tuned for more to come!!!

Before we ask young people to change the city, we have to show them the city cares.

That’s why this matters.

We can tell young people to stay focused all day—but focus gets a lot easier when somebody gives you opportunity, structure, mentorship and something positive to belong to.

That’s what organizations like the Justice & Dignity Center are building.

And that’s why I’m showing up.

Not for a photo.

Not because it looks good on a flyer.

Because I believe artists who come from the community have a responsibility to pour something back into it.

Hip-hop was created from young people turning limited resources into unlimited creativity.

Imagine what this generation can do when we give them MORE resources instead of MORE obstacles.

Pull up. Ride with us. Invest in them.
