As a child growing up loving baseball, Rickey Henderson was a star amongst stars!!! His confidence and ability to understand things were unmatched. When you strive to be great at something, average people will not understand you. People that strive for greatness will never understand average people’s way of thinking.. In Spring Training you took me under your wing and helped me understand playing professional baseball and being a Professional.. when I was called up you told me I could live with you and learn the league. (Told me to put my little peanuts away and save them 🤷🏾‍♂️🤦🏾‍♂️😂) Many nights just listening to you talk and vent about some of the things you went through in your career/life (There will never be another player like you 😮) and things I should look out for, I appreciate you for being genuine 100% of the time. Do you think players today are more skilled than the past? I will tell you right now that the answer is no. This is the worst and most watered down version of baseball I have seen in my life. He should be mad at the 3rd baseman for that weak throwAll this putting the best nine hitters in the field mess has completely ruined baseball. This also causes them to put their best and sometimes slowest hitters in the top of the lineup to get more at bats.. it’s dumb and the game doesn’t work that way. Watch how bad that teams like the Yankees base running and defense will be the way their lineup is constructed.. No Speed— slow Defense. @primetimeprince learning how to use his speed and small game to get pitches to Drive. They come right at you when you are a threat on the bases. Dropping the glove to the ground trying to frame under can still happen !! They want big catchers for their frame and target for the pitcher!! Being a good hitter is about your approach. What are you trying to do at the plate and what the pitcher has You can not clone the person but you can copy the appropriate that has been proven over time.. @primetimeprince is really learning his game. After hitting a Homer and showing he could hit fastballs the day before, the other team will make an adjustment.. His approach was to stay up the middle and the other way and don’t cheat trying to hit another homer. Good things happen when you stay with your approach.
