The Mundy family will be having an open visitation and celebration of life for Taylor Friday evening at 6:30 at In Their Honor of Jasper Funeral and Cremations. Taylor will be casual and would want everyone else to be as well. Please drop in and help the family honor Taylor by saying goodbye and sharing a memory!

Our Kings family has experienced a loss that affects so many in our program and the local lacrosse community as a whole. @zander.hattersley was a King going back to our 1st year...some of these photos are from the Kings 1st time playing up North where this group went undefeated. Zander tore his ACL in this tournament and the prayer huddle was for him. Zander was an amazing teammate, player, leader, friend and soul...he was the player that is the glue of a team. Zander was a dear friend to some of our current coaches and a role model to some of our older players. If you played elite lacrosse in Cherokee County with players from the 2021 class, you knew Zander Hattersley and you definitely wanted him on your team instead of the team you were going up against. As our 25s carried part of him this weekend by wearing a Z on their helmet at the PLC championships, Zander's light will be carried on by those who were lucky enough to know him. We ask in the coming weeks and months you pray for Zander's family and those who were close to him...his absence will be felt by so many. Rest easy 42❤️🕊 by @kings__elite

Young Harris ‘31

I’m extremely grateful and excited to announce my commitment to further my academic career and play division II lacrosse at Young Harris College!

I want to thank God for blessing me with the ability and opportunity to play the sport I love.

Thank you to my parents for all the sacrifices, support, and countless hours they’ve put into helping me get to this point. Thank you to my friends and teammates who have supported me throughout the years.

A huge thank you to Coach Pete and everyone at River Ridge who has helped me grow as a player and person, as well as the entire Atlanta Kings coaching staff.

Lastly, thank you to Coach Ledon and the entire Young Harris coaching staff for believing in me and giving me this opportunity.

I’m beyond excited for what’s ahead and proud to be a Mountain Lion!

North Greenville University ‘31

Im blessed to announce my commitment to continue my academic and athletic career at North Greenville University!

Id like to first say that none of this would be possible without my lord and savior that made the ultimate sacrifice for all of us and has given me the ability to play the game I love

Id like to thank my mom, dad, sister, and the rest of my family and friends for giving me endless support throughout my time playing. And a special thank you to my dad for all time spent traveling to let me play the game I am passionate about.

From Creekview id like to thank Coach Parker for the opportunities I’ve been given and to all of my teammates for pushing me to my fullest potential and getting me out of my comfort zone.

From Atlanta Kings I would like to thank Mr. Ken, Mrs. Jessica, Coach Bousqette, Coach Whittemore, and Coach Jon, for helping me train and develop. Thank you to my teammates for believing in me and for all of the support.

Id like to thank Coach Struss for giving me the opportunity to play at the next level and for taking a chance on me. Go Trailblazers! by @kings__elite

September is National Suicide Prevention Month, a month that will always hold a deeply personal meaning for our Kings family. 💚

In 2021, our Kings family was forever changed when we lost Taylor Mundy to suicide. Taylor wasn’t just the son of our Kings owners, Ken & Jessica…he was also a brother, friend, teammate, and a piece of the heart behind this organization.

Since losing Taylor, his family has made it their mission to keep his memory alive while reminding others just how important it is to check on the people you love…even the ones who seem strong, happy, or okay.

Taylor’s story is a reminder to us that there is so much happening beneath the surface that we may never see.

So this month, and every month, check on your teammates past and present. Check on your friends. Check on your family. Check on your coaches. Check on the parents sitting behind you on the sidelines. Tell people you love them. Listen a little longer. And never be afraid to ask for help when you need it.

Taylor may no longer be here with us, but his impact continues to be felt throughout the Kings family and in every life touched by his memory.

In lacrosse, we’re taught to have each other’s backs. To communicate. To pick up a teammate when they’re down. To never let someone fight alone.

Sometimes being a great teammate has nothing to do with what happens on the field.🩷

With Kings, We play for something bigger.

We remember Taylor. We carry him with us. Forever TM21. 💚🩷

Ask the question. Listen. Be there. Remind someone that they matter.

If you or someone you love is struggling, call or text 988 for the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.🎗️

Happy 44th Birthday, Jessica!

Today we celebrate the person behind it all. The person who helps make Kings Lacrosse what it is.💗💚🥍

Since taking over Kings in 2018, Jessica has led with passion, strength, and an unwavering commitment to this community. Through every season, challenge, and victory, she has continued to pour her heart into creating opportunities for athletes and building a family that extends far beyond the game

Thank you for your dedication, vision, commitment, leadership, and for creating a community where athletes can be inspired and grow both on and off the field. We hope your birthday is filled with love, laughter, and celebration. Here’s to another great year! 🎉🎂 by @kings__elite
