Coming soon as part of Bram Kinsbergen’s upcoming solo exhibition at PACT, opening September 17.

In my studio, between two exhibitions.
The exhibition at Plus One Gallery in Antwerp has been extended, while my upcoming exhibition at Pact in Paris will open in September.
Behind me are the works for Pact, resting for now, but ready to leave the studio and become part of the exhibition.
I’m happy with how things are going. I feel very lucky to be able to make the work I want to make, and to have places where I can show it. >> thanks to @plus_one_projects
@galeriepact @artemin.gallery
Maybe I’ll see you somewhere in Antwerp — or who knows, perhaps in Paris this September or next year in Taiwan...

BRAM KINSBERGEN ‘THE HIDDEN ACT’ recap.
What we see is never just what is there.

For his latest solo exhibition at PLUS-ONE Projects, Bram Kinsbergen (°1984, lives and works in Boechout) turns his intuitive, dreamlike painting practice toward a question that runs through everything he makes: what remains hidden behind the image we’re shown?

Blending abstraction and figuration, his paintings summon half-remembered landscapes, masked figures and quiet inconsistencies; traces of the process, repetition and revision that precede every finished image. As Kinsbergen writes: “What we see is never just what is there. It is the residue of a process that has been carefully shaped, edited, and ultimately concealed in order to appear complete.”

It’s a question he’s been circling for years; rom the sun-bleached highways and hidden glitches of ‘Waking up the roads’ (2025) to the circus and façade of ‘The Hidden Act.’

📍 Exhibition extended from 19.07 till 29.09.2026

This painting marks the beginning of my collaboration with galerie Pact in Paris, a partnership that continues to inspire me three years later. (Thanks Pierre and Valeria)
This September, my second solo exhibition will open at the gallery. The exhibition is my personal exploration of the parallel world of parades: what they mean to me, why they continue to fascinate us, and the personal cliffhangers that have occupied my mind after watching thousands of images and videos of every kind of parade imaginable both familiar and unfamiliar.
What do parades reveal about us as human beings? Why do we keep creating them? In a time when individuality seems more important than ever, we are still drawn to move together, in rhythm, in formation, expressing ourselves as a collective.
I hope to see you in Paris this September.
