Another collection I did for a seperate drawing class lol

In this class im focusing more on the nostalgia of early internet horror - something I know my audience is fairly interested in so im excited to be sharing these works :)

Haven't been posting my Uni work arrgghh

No, "No im not a Human" wasn't my inspo for this piece but I do see the similarities after someone pointed that out during my critique lol

Here's a little collection of pieces I put together for a study on the uncanny, and what borders the uncomfortable and comfortable.

Speedball Ink, different markers, Acrylic paint and graphite on different papers

Smile dog but make it my version :)
Collaged my sisters dog, Finn, with Habit from EMH to make an og smiledog dog LOL scroll to see details
A little bit about my painting process (for this series of studies anyways)
1st slide: The first iteration in a series of 4 studies (slightly edited to reduce the glare) (acrylic on 12”x16” canvas paper)
2nd slide: The digital collage I made as a reference for the studies
3rd slide: All 4 paintings in the series
4th slide: The process on how I collaged

Some studies drawn for one of my drawing classes this semester.

Im exploring how early internet horror (such as creepypastas, ARGs, stories etc.) Are linked to nostalgia for my generation (Gen Z), so i used erasure as my main method for these works to replicate blurry memory. Of course I love the horror genre, so including horror in my works feels like a given and I also enjoy it a lot, im going to continue to do so, might not stick with the same exact themes though.

Soft launching my uni work lol
Snuck a lil EMH reference in there no one will get in class but it’s okay
A quick little collage study I made for one of my drawing classes
I feel indifferent about it but it’s okay, forcing yourself to create something can get you into the right process
