02•08•26 I publicly declared my faith through baptism.

when I look back, I can see God’s hand over every part of my story. but it wasn’t until about two years ago that I truly opened my heart to the fullness of who He is and everything He offers. before that, I had a shallow understanding and completely missed the true meaning of Christianity.

through prayer and reading the Bible, Jesus Christ showed me what it really means to follow Him. the truths I had always heard suddenly became personal, and my faith was transformed. I began to experience real freedom and hope in every season of life — in both the highs and the lows. I learned that faith is not just about believing who Jesus is, but about having a genuine relationship with Him.

this new life is a gift of grace. we don’t deserve it, and we could never earn it — it was already finished through Jesus on the cross. we come to Him broken, and He meets us with love, forgiveness, and renewal. when we put our trust in Him and desire more of Him, He changes our hearts and gives us new life. that new life means letting go of what the world tells us to value and choosing instead to love what He loves — because the truth is, we cannot have both. ‘Why would I make a bed in my shame, when a fountain of grace is running my way?’

I choose to follow Jesus because He is true hope. when we believe in Him and walk in His ways, we have the promise of eternity with Him — a place where every tear is wiped away and everything broken is made new. what an incredible gift 🩷
