So long story short: Monday I was discharged from hospital thinking everything was great. I got home and was having really painful cramps and felt sick - I just knew something wasn’t right….we went down to A&E where I had a CT scan. The scan showed I had a blockage in my small bowel therefore they put a tube into my nose leading to my stomach. Over the past 3 days they’ve tried to unblock my bowel with fluids and some other kind of laxative but nothing has worked so fast forward today I had to have more surgery (3rd operation in just over 2 weeks). My small intestine was stuck to my mucous fistula, they did try key hole at first but unfortunately had to cut me open to operate and get it sorted. Thank god they managed to do what they needed to do and lets hope this is the last hiccup on my road to recovery 🙏🏼🥺🍀#surgery #ulcerativecolitis #ibd #ibdawareness #colitis #inflammatoryboweldisease #hospital #positivity #posotivevibes #positiveenergyonly by @kirbynhiggins
