My journey with moon 🌕

The first photo was of the Statue of Liberty — my very first moon capture.
Since then, I’ve been capturing the moon from time to time, each moment just as magical as the first

It all started on April 11, 2009.

I was at Liberty State Park with my Nikon D90, capturing the Statue of Liberty during blue hour. The light was calm, the air peaceful — one of those perfect New York evenings.

Then, I saw it.
The moon began to rise.

My heart whispered: “Wait. Maybe the moon will align with the torch.”

So I stood there, waiting… hoping… camera ready.

And it happened. The moon crowned the torch. I clicked. That was the shot — not just in my camera, but in my soul.

From that day on, I wasn’t just taking pictures. I was chasing the moon — aligning it with the icons of New York City.

The morning light begins to spill across the mountains, the little town slowly wakes up, and for a few minutes, every tree seems to glow. 🍁

This is why I chase fall.

The Road Through Autumn 🍂 | A Forest Painted in Fire

Somewhere between the road and the forest, autumn decided to show off. 🍁

From above, every curve reveals another layer of color — fiery reds, golden yellows, deep oranges, and pockets of green still holding on.

And then there’s that little car, quietly making its way through it all.

For a moment, it feels like the road isn’t passing through the forest…

the forest is swallowing the road. 🍂🔥

A reminder that sometimes the most beautiful journeys are the ones where you simply slow down and look around.

Solar Eclipse Over the Empire State Building 🌑☀️

In NYC, it was a partial solar eclipse:

* 🌑 Started: 1:07 PM
* 🔭 Maximum: 1:54 PM
* 🌞 Ended: 2:38 PM
* Maximum coverage: about 18.6%

For a few unforgettable moments, the Sun found its place behind one of New York City’s most iconic silhouettes. ☀️🏙️

The Empire State Building stood tall against the glowing sky, with the Sun perfectly framed beside its towering antenna.

New York has a way of turning an ordinary moment in the sky into something extraordinary.

🌕 When the Moon Meets New York

There are moments in photography that happen only when timing, distance, and patience come together.

I planned this moonrise carefully, waiting for the Moon to rise behind Manhattan and align with the Empire State Building. The goal was to capture the Moon low on the horizon, where it would appear enormous against the skyline.

Then the clouds arrived.

Instead of ruining the moment, they became part of the photograph, cutting across the glowing Moon and creating layers between the sky and the city.

For a few minutes, the Moon appeared to float directly above the Empire State Building while New York continued moving below.

The city never stopped.
The Moon never waited.
I simply had to be in the right place at the right time. 🌕🗽

Some nights, New York rewards those who wait.

For a few unforgettable seconds, the full moon rose beside Lady Liberty’s torch, creating a scene I’ll never forget.

The sky moves on.

The memory doesn’t.
