— Considering that our first date was at a bar, it seemed only fitting to kick off our marriage with an After Party at one of our favorite local spots for good drinks, dancing, and celebration!

Specialty cocktails by @kyle_maxfield were flowing, toasts by friends had us all laughing/crying, and karaoke quickly turned into a nonstop affair. Our tattoo queen @mads2thabone was giving out flash tattoos throughout the night, serving as the perfect permanent memento of the weekend.

We kicked our shoes off, scream-sang along to ABBA and Britney, and ended the night with a drunk cigarette (or two). Forever obsessed with our amazing friends & family who made it a celebration to remember! ✨ taken in Drift Lounge SLC by @kirt_ly

— On a warm summer evening, we gathered with our closest friends and family beneath the shade of the ginkgo trees. In a ceremony officiated by my sweet dad, we exchanged handwritten vows, shared favorite memories, and were joined in marriage.

We laughed through heartfelt toasts and connected over rounds of good food and never-empty glasses. As the sun went down, we danced until our feet hurt, and, as per my very specific request - we all shook our asses. We ended the night with homemade cake and tiramisu because you can never have too much dessert.

My heart just about burst, feeling the love and presence of our joined families - parents, siblings, childhood friends, college roommates, adventure pals, and everything in between - all of them making up our beautiful chosen family. To share this moment with the people from so many points in our lives, who have seen so many versions of us, was something we’ll cherish forever. 🖤 by @kirt_ly

— as a creative who has worked in the event industry for over 15 years, I’ve had a lot of time to imagine what my wedding would look like. Throughout the planning process, I allowed myself to let go of expectations and only focus on the details that brought me joy & felt true to us as a couple.

Designing and creating the details of this day was truly THE MOST FUN I have ever had, but I definitely didn’t do it alone! With Chris as my assistant & the help of so many of our loved ones, it turned out to be the most stunning day 🖤 Here are a few of my favorite details that I will never get over —

I designed layered invitation suites, day-of signage, & custom letters for each of our guests to open at our reception. My mom @selenamaxfield helped us design our rings for each other and helped me sew my veil and the overlay of my wedding dress. My fairies @emme__morgan @emily.pulley @kochobean helped me arrange all of the flowers for the day - creating the perfect whimsy, mossy, garden oasis that I wish I could live in forever. Chris’s aunt Sherie baked our raspberry and white chocolate wedding cake to share with our guests. I thrifted countless vintage silver & brass dishes, candlesticks, glassware, lace handkerchiefs, & my perfect green sparkly purse (she was the star of the show!) My platonic soulmate @emme__morgan surprised me with a hand-sewn flag with our initials on it! & we had an insane tiramisu tower from one of our local favorites @neighborhoodbakes to end the night!
