Thank you to those that recommended me for the Montana Governors Veterans Commendation. The unsung heroes that deserve this award are my family for teaching me to always leave a place better than I find it and @thebc400 that taught me through God and a deep breath anything is achievable. taken in Montana by @kit.lowe

Been a rough week so want to end it with something positive.

Went to @umontana for their Purple Heart flag raising and met with a lot of great folks!

FYI the unit / branch patches on the back of my vest are the different units my family served with across all the branches of service.

I don’t usually wade into politics because of the career choices I have made but after some of the disgusting comments I’ve seen today. Felt like I needed to say something…

Regardless of what you thought of Charlie Kirk and his message, he was a father and husband. That shot he took to his neck wasn’t an instant kill shot, so he suffered and died with his final thoughts being most likely with his family.

I know what it’s like to be shot and bleed out, it’s an extremely painful experience and after a while your body just begins to shutdown but you mentally are trying to keep it going because you want to get home to your loved ones.

This knee jerk reaction to act and use violence doesn’t help, just hurts more people.

We’re Americans, we should be coming together to make our Country the best nation it can be everyday. That is something that we should all want for ourselves and our neighbors.

Sorry if this was preachy, watching the video just brought up some emotions I thought I had buried in Afghanistan. taken in Montana by @kit.lowe

Had such a great honor today to escort our Nations heroes to the airport for their honor flight to DC.

Meant a lot to thank these veterans for their service and sacrifices. When I was at Walter Reed Army Medical Center it was their generation that welcomed me home and countered the protestors that were in DC protesting us.
