Almost… Not Quite explores the bittersweet idea of Na Pawa—the things we long for, the moments we miss, and the feelings that linger when life doesn't quite turn out the way we imagined.

📖 The Quiet Waste: The Cost of Unseen Potential

This was my first management book, and honestly, I was a little unsure about whether I would be able to connect with it. But to my surprise, I really enjoyed reading it.

What I liked the most was the simple and easy-to-understand language. The book discusses management, leadership, workplace culture, and the potential that often goes unnoticed, but it never felt too complicated or heavy.

The book made me think about how much talent and potential can remain unseen simply because people don't get the right opportunities, guidance, or environment to grow.

Even though this is my first book in this genre, I found it thought-provoking, practical, and very easy to follow. It definitely made me look at workplace potential from a different perspective.

If you're new to management books like me, this can be a good place to start. 🤍📚

A simple read with an important message: sometimes the biggest waste is the potential we fail to notice.

Undamaged by Pritha Mandal 📖

There was something about this story that stayed with me.

The book takes us into the life of Dr. Anirudh Chaudhary, a doctor who seems calm and put-together on the outside, but is dealing with a lot beneath the surface. His struggle with his past and the way it affects his present made his character quite interesting to read.

I liked that the story doesn't make love the only answer to everything. Along with the romance, it brings in trauma, vulnerability, healing and the things people often hide behind a composed exterior.

Ayushi adds a softer side to the story, and I liked the contrast between the tenderness of their relationship and the darker side of Anirudh's world.

The story has a darker, emotional atmosphere, and some parts definitely make you pause and think about how deeply our past can affect us.

If psychological romance with emotional depth and darker themes is your kind of read, Undamaged is worth giving a try. 🤍

Play to kill📖 by @puja_mkhattri
Some thrillers are about finding the killer. Play to Kill is more about figuring out who is playing whom.
The story follows ACP Karan Singh Shekhawat and his team as they investigate a series of strange cases where victims are drugged and wake up with no memory of what happened. Things take a darker turn when TV producer Anya Aulakh gets caught in a disturbing online game involving college students.
What I enjoyed was the mix of crime, technology, manipulation and suspense. The story keeps adding layers, and the idea of someone using people’s problems to control them makes the whole setup quite unsettling.
The Delhi setting also gives the thriller a familiar, urban feel. There are enough twists and hidden motives to keep you curious about what is actually happening behind the scenes.
Overall, Play to Kill is a fast-paced crime thriller with a dark premise and plenty of suspense. If you enjoy stories involving psychological games, deception and unexpected turns, this is worth picking up.

संजय सर की इससे पहले भी कुछ किताबें पढ़ी हैं और उनकी लेखनी की गहराई, स्पष्टता और प्रभावशीलता हमेशा मुझे प्रभावित करती रही है। वह नारी है… पढ़ते हुए भी कई जगह ठहरकर सोचने का अवसर मिला।

यह हिंदी साहित्य की पुस्तक स्त्री जीवन और उससे जुड़े सामाजिक मुद्दों पर लिखे गए लेखों का संग्रह है। इसमें लैंगिक असमानता, स्त्री की स्वतंत्रता, हिंसा, पितृसत्ता, भ्रूण हत्या, बाल विवाह, समानता और स्त्री के अधिकार जैसे कई महत्वपूर्ण विषयों को अलग-अलग दृष्टिकोणों से सामने रखा गया है।

हमारे समाज में ऐसी कितनी ही चीज़ें हैं जिन्हें हम वर्षों से सामान्य मानकर स्वीकार करते आ रहे हैं। हम उन्हें देखते हैं, उनके बीच रहते हैं, लेकिन अक्सर यह प्रश्न नहीं करते कि आखिर यह सही क्यों है। इस पुस्तक को पढ़ते हुए कई ऐसी ही बातों का एहसास होता है, जिन पर शायद हमने कभी गंभीरता से विचार ही नहीं किया।

सबसे अधिक विचारणीय बात यह लगी कि आज हम कितना भी आधुनिक होने का दावा करें, स्त्री और पुरुष के बीच का अंतर और लैंगिक असमानता आज भी एक बहुत बड़ा सामाजिक प्रश्न है। समाज में कई ऐसी धारणाएँ और प्रथाएँ हैं जिन्हें केवल इसलिए स्वीकार कर लिया गया है क्योंकि वे लंबे समय से चली आ रही हैं, जबकि उन पर प्रश्न उठाना आवश्यक है।

संजय सर की लेखनी की विशेषता यह है कि वे इन मुद्दों को केवल हमारे सामने रखते ही नहीं, बल्कि पाठक को सोचने, प्रश्न करने और अपने आसपास की सामाजिक वास्तविकताओं को एक नई दृष्टि से देखने के लिए प्रेरित करते हैं।

वह नारी है… मेरे लिए केवल स्त्री से जुड़े प्रश्नों पर लिखी पुस्तक नहीं रही, बल्कि समाज को अधिक गहराई से देखने और उन धारणाओं पर पुनर्विचार करने का अवसर बनी, जिन्हें हम अक्सर बिना प्रश्न किए स्वीकार कर लेते हैं।

कुछ पुस्तकें पढ़कर समाप्त हो जाती हैं, लेकिन उनके विचार और प्रश्न हमारे भीतर लंबे समय तक बने रहते हैं। यह पुस्तक उन्हीं में से एक है। 🌸
