recent musical adventures have involved…meeting lots of lovely people😇, building community🎉🤝, getting very sweaty often♨️, pride 🥲🌈, bad posture 🦐,unwanted handsy freakazoids👿, lots of noisemaking💥📢, crazy bloodsugar often😵‍💫🩸, and sleeping on floors💤🥱. I love doing this silly music stuff so much, thanks a lot to everyone who supports me & the band; I hope I can do this forever and ever and ever!!!!!!! 🌟🌟🍀🍀X

‼️⚠️* side note : new @grogglebog zine and project titled “GRASP” in the works, in response to a lack of safety at gigs & the importance of inclusion and safeguarding within music. It’s not normal to be in fear of going to gigs.

noisy version of ‘She’s lost control’ by Joy Division.

sound balance isn’t great throughout as everything was recorded on my phone and put together on capcut and so I couldn’t automate the tracks… I still like this tho. Been a while and this was fun.

Grogglebog goes to Bristol!👹👹

It was such an ace opportunity to attend the @youthmusicuk Industry Connect conference in Bristol earlier this month with my @wearehinterland bezzies @stewartbaxter & @kieran.mp3_ . 🫧🫧🫧🫧🫧

The experience gave me lots of food for thought and inspired me a whole lot. It got me thinking more deeply into the music industry and how it works against musicians a lot of the time, how it can diminish creativity and passion instead of fostering it, due to barriers in accessibility and its structure, pressures and unrealistic standards/ expectations.

Young people are often not taken seriously in general, and the music industry is no exception. When young people manage to access music opportunities, they are often exploited, laughed at, ignored, and chucked in at the deep end with no life jacket, often belittled.

Despite my ranting… being around so many like-minded industry professionals of all backgrounds and from across the UK during this event, gave me hope for the future of youth music. There is so much power in community, there is power and strength in numbers, and together we can make change happen for future musicians and ourselves. The work @stewartbaxter & @wearehinterland are doing is a testament to this, for a community is being built, and I’m really proud to be involved.🫂

If any artists/musicians/creatives/young people/passionate people/anyone would be interested in working with me, or would just like a chat- feel free to contact me @grogglebog . ❣️❣️❣️

Also- it was very nice to meet you 2/5ths of @idlesband ! Ta for the sani 🥪😄. X taken in Bristol, United Kingdom by @kitkitkiiiit

18 years ago today I was a proper grumpy bastard because I’d just been diagnosed with type 1 diabetes.

I wanted to make this post because I am proud of myself, and don’t talk about this that much (apart from in wench song ‘diabetic dog’ lol) . Living with a chronic illness is never an easy thing to deal with, and can make you feel like an alien, especially as a kid; but I haven’t let it stop me from doing anything, and it’s shaped who I am in many ways- although it does not in any way define me. There are a lot of misconceptions about the disease, and a lot of negative stereotypes. Yes, I can eat sugar, no, do not feel bad for me please.

I’ve been lucky to have the same doctors since my diagnosis up to now, and amazing parents and family who have quite literally saved my life multiple times; I don’t take my privilege for granted in the slightest.

If you have a diabetic friend who you care about- learn about the condition, support them, and don’t ever make anyone feel guilty for being ill.
