The view was worth dressing up for. 🍸

You’re choosing the soundtrack for a sunset drink with me. What are we playing?

Went to Bergen for the fjords. Came back thinking about this hot dog. 🌭

Important question: is ketchup and mustard the correct answer, or have I lost your respect?

Norway, you grumpy, gorgeous little show-off. 🖤
Would absolutely do it all again.

A little reminder from my T-shirt 🤍

Life is already hard enough. Everyone you meet is carrying something you probably know nothing about, so be kind when you can, give people a little grace and, most importantly…

don’t be a dick. ✌🏼🌈

It really is that simple.

Healing isn't always beautiful. Sometimes it looks like cancelled plans, unanswered messages, days that blur together, and learning to be patient with a version of yourself you barely recognise.
I'm still here. That's enough for today. 🤍

Wear black.
Wear baggy clothes.
Cover your stomach.
Make yourself look smaller. Softer. Less visible.

But I’m fat in oversized hoodies and I’m fat in tight skirts.
The difference is one of them makes me feel like me.
And honestly? I’m tired of the idea that fat women are only allowed to exist if we’re actively trying to disguise ourselves.

So yes, you can see my belly line.
Yes, there are rolls.
Yes, my stomach pokes out.
I know.
I got dressed on purpose.

Because there’s something really freeing about realising people were going to call you fat anyway. So you stop shrinking yourself for strangers. You stop waiting to become worthy of confidence. You stop treating your body like a punishment.

I’m not dressing for the body I might have one day.
I’m dressing for the one I have now.

Mind your business.

Spent the last week and a half looking like a Victorian orphan fighting for survival after my MyoSure biopsy, but the sun came out, my mum’s garden looked too good not to take photos in, and I finally had enough energy to put a dress on.

Do I still feel like absolute shit? Yes.
Did the English sun immediately reward me with a migraine? Also yes.

But sometimes you’ve just got to brush your hair, throw on an outfit, pretend you’re functioning, and remind yourself you’re still that girl even when your body’s going through it. 🌞🤎

I can’t tell if the ginger hair makes me look powerful or mildly unhinged.

Two years ago, I made a decision that quietly changed my entire life.

Not overnight, not perfectly, but consistently, stubbornly, imperfectly. I’ve lost 11 stone (154lbs/70kg), and yes, I’ve gained a stone back — and for a while, that’s all I could see.

But today I looked at who I used to be… really looked… and something shifted. I’ve been crying over one stone after losing eleven. That’s like climbing a whole mountain, slipping on a pebble near the top, and deciding the entire climb didn’t count. It counts. Every single step counts.

She tried every day, that woman on the left, and I didn’t fail her… I freed her. I don’t wake up in pain anymore, I don’t dread stairs, I don’t feel trapped in my own body. This isn’t just weight loss, this is a life I fought for. So today I’m not punishing myself for one stone, I’m celebrating eleven, and I’m learning to be kinder to the woman who got me here and the one I’m still becoming. 🤍
