#ericgreitens is STILL an asshole and our failed predator exgovernor. I get extra points for the shirt. I’m 12 years into being on the front lines — trying to protect college students from what we have witnessed this past week. When I was 19, I was raped by the speaker of the house. I have worked really hard to fight for others as well as myself and to finally find a space where I’m not just the intern anymore. Where I feel safe and I finally found that. Outside of the United States. This week has set every single survivor I know back. I have been fighting title nine and universities and politicians for so long, I forgot that this isn’t normal. It’s not normal to have state senators and congressman that drug and rape women and that everybody knows about, but nothing is done. It’s not normal to have a state senator who has rape insurance from his parents. It’s not normal to be a 19 year-old child that was not protected by a man that everybody in that building knew that he had problems and they knew what was happening with me but instead because I was forced to work for the Republicans, they chose the rape culture and their speaker of the house over a child because they actually don’t care. The day that I went into this building and I said what I said in this video was the day that I became a survivor. It was the day I decided I did not want to kill myself anymore and that I wanted to be alive. That is the biggest win we have over people who take our autonomy. This fight is not over and it will not be over. It will only get worse in the United States of America. I am so sorry to every single person that has had to relive any set of circumstances that were unfavorable to you or unfair. What happened to you is not who you are and it is not your fault. You are not alone. And if anything, I hope this week has taught you that there are hundreds of thousands of women who are standing with you and men who have been through this and people in the LGBTQIA+ community who also have your back. Let’s fight like hell to be free. They can’t cage us anymore. What happened to you is not happening right now. It is over. #cornell7 #cornell taken in United States America by @kittykatgraham
