Heartbroken to learn of Sir Sam Neill passing away. New Zealand as a nation has always been fiercely proud and supportive of any of our countrymen and women that make it big on the world stage, and Sam was no exception. He's up there with the All Blacks and Pavlova (Kiwi recipe btw). A household name.

I've seen it said today that Sam, "Helped shape my childhood..." The love, and the sincerity with which people talk about him speaks volumes to his character, and the tributes to him come from every corner of the globe.

He was an actor, he was an environmentalist. He was a farmer and a winemaker.

He gave names to the animals he had on his farm, and he famously said, "You can't eat Meryl Streep." He wasn't wrong 😂

He was the best of us. He'll always be a legend, and he made me proud to be a Kiwi. 🇳🇿

So this happened again. Thankfully, the occupants were ok for the most part.

I pushed for this stretch of road to be dropped to 40mph from the 60mph it's currently set at, but I was told, "We can't police that.." by someone at the local council.

Welp, @meaboroughcouncil now it's personal.

If something isn't done about the speed limit and risk of road traffic collision on the Townhill Road in Portglenone (BT44) Ballymena, County Antrim, Northern Ireland, the blood of the victims will be on your hands and I promise you, I'll see you held to account. You have my word.

Enough is enough.

Far and away the most realistic war film made in the last 25 years.

Don't expect to feel fantastic as you leave the theatre. It's not that kind of film.

It's visceral. It's an assault on your senses.
