From my very first blazer to my final year in medicine… 18 years of becoming🎓✨

Every stage of life brought a different version of me: learning, growing, struggling and persevering.

And now, somehow, I get to say I’m graduating as a doctor!!! Forever grateful for every lesson, every challenge and every person who carried me through this journey❤️

Officially official…

From sparkling at the Med Gala 🪩to the Oath Ceremony🗣️— this weekend really said, “You finally made it”

Six years of sleepless nights, caffeine abuse, emotional support snacks and content that made me question my life choices… but also six years of growth, joy, and people who became family.

I am unbelievably grateful for every single person who carried me through this journey — you know exactly who you are. ❤️

Here’s to my last call for 2025!!🫣

Thought I’d share a sneak peak at my morning routine. Below is a few essentials I have learnt (the hard way) to bring along:
1. My own pillow (sleep is sacred)
2. Sleeping bag — 😅
3. FOOD!!! (Don’t forget that midnight meal 🙃)
4. Clipboard — because tracking down forms = a sport 🥲
5. Deodorant!!! 24hrs of sweat…👀
6. Powerbank + charger (your phone will die at 2 a.m.)
7. Headphones — for those rare 5 minutes of peace
8. Apocalypse-proof snacks (biltong, noodles, energy bars)
9. Water bottle — hydrate or hallucinate
10. Toothbrush + toothpaste (night-shift breath is criminal)
11. Extra socks — don’t question it, just do it
12. Painkillers — sleep deprivation headaches suck 🤕
13. Coffee. Just… coffee ☕️

60 days left of med school 🤯
Yes, I’m still alive. Yes, I still get asked where I’m at, so I thought I’d break it down.

6 years of lectures, endless coffee, hospital shenanigans, and figuring out what it actually means to be a doctor…

And now, somehow, the finish line is in sight. 60 days away from officially closing this chapter. Tired? Absolutely. Shocked? Definitely. Excited? More than words 🩺

HELLP, those 6hrly PET bloods were the death of me🫠
if I close my eyes and listen very closely I can still hear the CTG machine🤫
