Introducing HOLY BODY.
A sex-worker vampyre film about hunger, devotion, and the cost of surviving the night.

From House of Eros LA, HOLY BODY follows Our Girl — a lesbian vampyre who works the blade to make it to sunrise. Glittered shoulders in motel light. Stripper heels on hardwood. Cash, breath, confession. A body pushed to its limit. A love that asks for nothing but honesty.

This project sits at the intersection of everything we stand for:
Black femme horror. Queer desire. Sensual storytelling. The politics of survival.
A film where sex work is not spectacle — it’s ecosystem, economy, and care.

This is the beginning.
A shoulder catching light.
A shoe left where the night broke open.
A world where the sacred and the gritty live in the same frame.

HOLY BODY is now officially in development under the House of Eros LA slate.

Follow along as we build the world, the feature, and the future.

It’s my birthday today… and instead of waiting for the “right” moment, I’m choosing myself, my art, and my gifts right now.

This year has stretched me, shaped me, and sharpened me. And instead of keeping everything I’ve been building in the dark, I’m finally putting it in your hands.

If you’ve been wanting to learn from me, move with me, study with me, or work with me — here’s what I’m offering for my birthday:

1. I Want You to Watch Me — Sensual Movement Guide
20+ pages. A curated playlist. Poetic prompts. Slow, grounded movement. A soft place to land in your body.
$18 on Gumroad.

2. Floorwork Fantasy — Private Sessions
My signature floorwork coaching. Beginner-friendly. Slow. Cinematic. Sensual.
Birthday special: 20% off with code BDAY (today through 11/30).

3. Office Hours: After Dark — Nov 29
A virtual pole study jam. Suggested donation $10. Pay what you can. No one turned away.

4. Get Your Film Made — Indie Producer Bootcamp (Dec 7)
A 90-minute live class + replay for filmmakers ready to stop sitting on their ideas and finally make their movie.

Everything is linked in my bio.

And truly… thank you to everyone who supports independent artists.
Every class you join, every guide you purchase, every booking, every share — it all keeps art like mine alive.
It keeps me creating.
It keeps these worlds, these stories, these offerings possible.

I’m stepping into this next year with clarity, softness, and heat — and I’m bringing all of you with me. by @kj.roane

✨ A milestone moment ✨

I’m officially listed on @idcprofessionals as an Intimacy Coordinator (TV + Film) — certification pending.

For me, this isn’t a pivot — it’s an expansion. As a multidisciplinary artist and filmmaker, I’ve always been invested in how stories feel in the body. Adding intimacy coordination to my toolkit is about ensuring that same care extends to every performer on set.

So, what do Intimacy Coordinators actually do?

We exist because the industry has often failed to provide safety and clarity around intimate or vulnerable work. My role bridges artistry and consent:

• Translating the director’s vision into clear, repeatable choreography
• Establishing boundaries and agreements with actors so they can fully focus on their performance
• Documenting, advocating, and communicating so no one has to carry discomfort in silence
• Bringing a trauma-informed, identity-conscious lens so that bodies—especially those of BIPOC and LGBTQ+ performers—are treated with care and respect

The stories I’m especially called to are ones that center Black and queer characters, sex worker narratives, and stories of desire, vulnerability, and power. These are often the stories that have been exploited or erased, and I want to ensure they’re handled with the artistry and integrity they deserve.

I’m hireable NOW and actively completing my required 10 on-set days toward certification. If you’re a producer, director, or 1st AD—or if you have filmmaker friends working on shorts, features, or music videos—let’s connect.

Thrilled to be speaking on the Writing Sex Work panel this week at @fabulosa_books as part of @sexworkerfest—gathering with storytellers, artists, and archivists who understand that the body holds what institutions forget.

As a sex worker and an artist, I move at the intersection of memory, movement, and ritual. Telling our stories—on our terms—is both creative practice and survival strategy. I’ll be reading from HOLY BODY, my feature-in-progress about a queer vampire sex worker navigating hunger, intimacy, and the sacred.

House of Eros LA is proud to be a sponsor of this year’s festival! You’ll also find something to hold—printed work from the House: ritual playlists, ways to get involved with upcoming projects, and an overview of House of Eros LA presented in syllabus form—an excerpt of Study Guide Vol. 1, for those who study through movement, memory, and touch.

If you’re in the Bay, come through. Sit with me. Take something home. 🌹 by @kj.roane

Four years post-MFA. I thought the path would be linear. It wasn’t.

Since 2021, I’ve been grieving, healing, hustling, creating, surviving, shapeshifting—and circling back to myself. Through film. Through pole. Through performance. Through sex work. Through sisterhood. Through solitude.

And still, I return to story.

For a long time, I felt like I had to split myself—artist, performer, director, dancer, sex worker, storyteller.
I learned to compartmentalize to survive.
But the weight of that division took a toll on my mental health.
Trying to shrink or silence parts of myself left me exhausted. Disconnected.
It wasn’t sustainable.

But lately… I’ve felt the pieces coming back together.

I don’t feel fragmented anymore.
I feel like one person.
And that wholeness has deepened everything—my voice, my vision, my art.

Every lived experience has poured into my practice.
Every version of me has shaped what I want to say.
And now, I know exactly how I want to say it.

I’m so proud to share that I’m on the path to becoming a certified Intimacy Coordinator, thanks to a scholarship from @idcprofessionals.

This feels like a homecoming. Another way to honor embodiment. To hold space. To make sure the people in front of the camera feel seen, respected, and safe—especially when the work calls for vulnerability, sensuality, or survival.

I’ve lived the questions. I’ve performed in every kind of space—from stages to sets to strip clubs.
And I’ve told stories from the inside out—like Stories from the Trade, a docuseries I created to hold space for sex workers’ voices, including my own.

This isn’t a pivot. It’s an expansion.
Another way to care. Another way to create. Another language for what I already know.

So yes—I choreograph. I perform. I direct. I advocate.
And now, I officially coordinate intimacy on set, with intention and truth.

And to my fellow filmmakers, especially those building worlds that center Black femmes, queerness, and survival—I’m ready to collaborate.

P.S. Something else is coming.
A blood-soaked, genre-bending, intimate-as-hell short film.
It’s called HOLY BODY. And it’s as sacred as it sounds. 🕯️ by @kj.roane
