MONUMENT OF WINTER
Video directed and edited by @christofferbya

Music produced and recorded by VÅDE
Mixed by @andreas_sjoen
Mastered by @tonylindgren at @fascinationstreetstudios
Artwork by @johanjbakken

Debut album ‘Den Nye Vrede’ to be released on January 15th 2027.

LYRICS:
It’s heart beats in the chest
Scavenging for scraps
Crooked fingers in the seams
Frenzied and hollowed eyes still on the run

Reminiscing in horror
last days of living
It’s ripping apart your own self-exhalted cell
Until collapse
Clinging to your anguish
Contemplating what’s given
Driven by death abode

Still you are waiting for day chained by the promise
Still you are waiting for the light

A sight to behold
A meaningless prey
You’re found on it’s trail

Monument of winter
Howling winds from north
Inhale the destroyer
Kings will be servants
instructed by the occult

Gloomy murk in residence of ghosts
A silhouette of dreams
Yearning your longing

Entering deieties along the path abroad
Living in your lie with their shrieks
Closer; now twisted into madness within by sound

Ruptured are the tokens that the heart will obey
No strength to hold the monument in this state
In the end there is no meaning
Last movements in desperation were guided by mystic laws

Still you are waiting for dark chained by your doubt
Still you are waiting for the night

This is the last time you will fall apart
This is the last time you will see the dark by @kjetl12

Throwback to a truly unforgettable night with @invainband in Copenhagen.

Their energy on stage was an absolute blast, and these moments have been sitting in my camera roll for far too long. Great performances don’t expire, though. Now it is finally time to let them shine. 🔥

Thanks for making the airport the next morning unexpectedly fun as well.🤘🏼 taken in Copenhagen, Dennmark by @kjetl12

Another stellar review from our show at @kiffaarau in Switzerland! Where did you catch In Vain on their 2026 European tour?🤘
“Musically I find In Vain very exciting. The alternation of soft, melodius parts and hard, and progressive parts flows skillfully into each other.»

5/6 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ rating of our last show on the European tour! Thank you @devilutiondk ! Here is a snippet of the full review:
“Tonight it is In Vain that made the biggest impression. All in all, a thoroughly dazzling concert with lots of both banger moments and sublime interplay, (…) are razor sharp, both when they find the heavy bearing, when they go more aggressively, when they find their harmonic grip, and for that matter all the other musical devices, they now have in their toolbox.”
- Jacobh Hansen, devilution.dk
