As a soccer/football fan I loved getting to work on this Netflix series just before the World Cup! It’s fun, poignant and really well done! Especially because it is set during a politically/socially tough time in Brazil, it feels deeply relevant and, yet, still left me feeling hopeful about humanity. I had to work nights to finish it, but it was so worth it!! Thanks to the amazing cast! I got to work with my grad school classmate @whatnextg as Pele! Meet Sophie, she's an owl, a brilliant detective, mentor to the rascally squirrel, Chirp, and voiced by moi. Together they solve mysteries in the kid’s cartoon THE SECRETS OF HONEY HILLS. I didn’t get to direct Season 3 of Squid Game because I was busy giving birth to this adorable guy! But I did work on the English script adaptation along with Max Quill and cast new characters before handing it off to Philipp Maximilian(Director) and Cameron Sloan (Recording Engineer)! We won a Hermes award for “Best Overall Dub for a Series” for Citadel: Diana! We were competing against shows dubbed into every conceivable language across the world so it’s a huge honor. When your mother-in-law asks for maternity photos but you and your husband are art history nerds… (and yes, technically, the woman in Van Eyck’s painting wasn’t pregnant. It was a wedding portrait and the excess cloth was a sign of fertility and wealth. What made the painting famous was actually the level of detail the painter was able to achieve.
