Happy Birthday to the boy who made me a momma 9 years ago today!

Wow how the time flies I cannot believe how grown you are, even though you don’t call me mommy and moved to mom you will always be my baby boy.

We had never used a CPA.

This year, my husband and I did—and we received the biggest tax refund of our entire lives.

Then we had our CPA amend previous years’ returns.

There were things we had missed. Things we didn’t know to look for. And those amendments resulted in additional money coming back to our family.

We had left money on the table without realizing it.

This is part of why I give @whitneymarieofficial so much credit.

Through her tax masterclasses and the tax education she brings to our community, I started understanding the value of asking better questions and getting professional guidance.

Our CPA did the work on our returns. Whitney’s education helped move us toward that decision.

As a mom and business owner, that changed how I think about money. I’m making room for learning alongside earning—and seeing how that education can affect our family.
