BEFORE you record your next Reel, do THIS to your camera👇🏼⁠

Go to Settings > Camera > Grid (turn it ON)⁠
⁠
Now when you go to shoot, align your eyes (or product) long one of the grid lines OR at an intersection.⁠
⁠

HERE'S my honest thoughts on both sides...⁠

1. Quantity:⁠
I’ve done small group trainings with a big-name Instagram growth expert who has a famous saying: “The more you post the more you grow.” ⁠
⁠
The problem with that is it’s not sustainable for MY ideal clients (parents who own and run a business.)⁠
⁠
I know you're busy and at your wit’s end with Instagram—overwhelmed by how much there is to learn and underwhelmed by the results you're getting from it. ⁠So "posting more" isn't always an option.⁠
⁠
2. Quality:⁠
Quality DOES matter, but I know for a fact that the more time you spend 'perfecting' your content, the less you'll actually post and the worse it'll probably be when you do.⁠
⁠
Professional photos are nice,⁠
High quality video is also nice,⁠
⁠
But you won't always have the time or budget for them.⁠
⁠
💫 The key? Learning to post with confidence so your content becomes more natural, genuine, and magnetic. Then it won't matter how often or perfectly you post, because the right people will be listening 🤌🏼⁠

I was one year late when I started posting Reels.

Everyone (including Instagram) said if you want to grow you HAVE to jump on this major platform change and start posting more video.

My problem? I was completely uncomfortable being on camera. I barely posted photos of myself let alone VIDEOS.

So when Reels launched, I stalled. And stalled. And stalled some more. Until one day, I decided to try and get comfortable being uncomfortable. 😮‍💨

And when I started it was silly little videos like this. Because I couldn’t get up the nerve to speak.

And when I wanted to speak, I had to write scripts and took hours to film myself saying them.

Then eventually, I started sitting on my porch. Anxiously warming up on camera by talking about my porch squirrel, which evolved into getting up the courage to speak about Instagram.

And now, I sit down, press record and shoot the shit.

Never anxious.
Never a box I feel I need to check.
Just something I like to do because it helps my audience.

If you’re struggling to get on camera to talk about your business, you don’t have a confidence problem— you know your business better than anyone! Your problem is lack of exposure.

And the only way to fix that is by doing the damn thing over and over again until you get good. And you will!

Listen, I knoooow content will just adjust to whatever screen size people are viewing at, but aspect ration matters!

Resist the urge to look at yourself when filming Reels.
